The Howling Reborn (2011)

A couple of reasons.  It's still not a remake.  It's a completely unrelated sequel, but that tells me two things.  Mythology is (or should be) the same and it's part of a series that has long kicked ass and also has the potential itself to kick ass.  In the preview it touched on how badass werewolves are compared to vampires...YES!  Fuck Vampires.  Greater than all that, though, is fuckin' Mosley.  The lead girl used to play Mosely on Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide on Nickolodeon and I would watch it for her alone, even if it was a steaming pile of shit.

Oh and, totally unrelated, I actually fell in love with Memphis Beat because the kid who played Ned was in the series premier...I like Jason Lee too, but that sealed it.

Anchor Bay Entertainment will release The Howling: Reborn on Blu-ray this October. The eighth entry in The Howling franchise, this new film focuses on young Will Kidman (Landon Liboiron, TV's Degrassi: The Next Generation), a teenager whose lycanthropic bloodline puts him and the girl of his dreams (Lindsey Shaw, TV's Pretty Little Liars) in mortal danger.
