The Howling Reborn is slated for an October 2011 release. On the eve of his high school graduation, unremarkable Will Kidman finally bonds with the girl he has long yearned for, reclusive Eliana Wynter. But he also discovers a dark secret from his past… that he is about to become a werewolf. Now, in an effort to fight destiny and save their love as well as their lives, they must battle not only Will’s growing blood lust but an army of fearsome beasts bent on killing them…and then, us all.

I was gonna post this, but then I saw that photo, and thought, nope, don't like it. I'm hoping there's more to the werewolves than what we're seeing here. This might suck, big time, though.

It appears Anchor Bay Entertainment has acquired The Howling Reborn for distribution from Moonstone Entertainment.
The film was shot earlier this year in Canada under the direction of Joe Nimziki. No word yet as to what Anchor Bay will do with the film limited theatrical or direct to DVD? but I'm sure their plans will be revealed soon.
Synopsis: On the eve of his high school graduation, unremarkable Will Kidman finally bonds with the girl he has long yearned for, reclusive Eliana Wynter. But he also discovers a dark secret from his past... that he is about to become a werewolf. Now, in an effort to fight destiny and save their love as well as their lives, they must battle not only Will's growing blood lust but an army of fearsome beasts bent on killing them...and then, us all.

This may get a theatrical release. Although I assume a limited one.

I'm just glad it's a sequel and not a remake. Can't be any worse than New Moon Rising.

This isn't a Howling movie at all. It's a shitty attempt at The Lost Boys with Werewolves.

Even worse than the Lost Boys. Now every movie has to be targeted to 12 and 13 year old girls. Fright Night and now this? Not looking good for real horror fans.

Yes. (It's almost a David DeCoteau flick) Yes. Would I still watch it? HELL YES! A couple of reasons. It's still not a remake. It's a completely unrelated sequel, but that tells me two things. Mythology is (or should be) the same and it's part of a series that has long kicked ass and also has the potential itself to kick ass. In the preview it touched on how badass werewolves are compared to vampires...YES! Fuck Vampires. Greater than all that, though, is fuckin' Mosley. The lead girl used to play Mosely on Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide on Nickolodeon and I would watch it for her alone, even if it was a steaming pile of shit. NightmareManiac
