they all suck. it took ages for the horror genre to wash their stink off.. fuck it though. it's not like American horror movies are good now anyway. i'd rather not see a Grudge 3 tho than not see this.

Yeah I always did hate their "rules" that only really apply if you ever watched one slasher film in your entire life. But I don't hate the franchise as much as you all seem to.

i just hated the hack who-dunnit stories. if you want to mislead the audience, you do it from either a charactor's perspective, or with ambigious clues. you don't blatently present several false clues to the audience.. much less make a pattern out of doing that. i guess the writers never read Agatha Christie..

i said above that i liked the first one, but it could be the childhood memory aspect. I watched it the other night though and it was pretty enjoyable. Skeet Ulrich is a poorman's Johnny Depp though.
