It's almost the wonderful time of the year again and what would it be without a little news concerning The Shape? With Never Sleep Again under the old belt I can tell you documentary filmmaking is anything but easy, but when it's done right? The rewards are certainly there to reap.

The last time we reported on Phil Nobile's feature length documentary, "Halloween: The Inside Story", was April, but now a firm premiere date has been locked in, and we're happy to tell you that the latest look at the film that started it all, John Carpenter's Halloween, will be hitting A&E's Biography Channel on October 28th, 9PM ET/8PM CT/10PM PT.

For his feature Nobile and company have got Carpenter himself, Jamie Lee Curtis, and tons more including Irwin Yablans, Dean Cundey, Nick Castle, Nancy Kyes, PJ Soles, Charles Cyphers, Tony Moran, John Graham, Tommy Lee Wallace, Kim Gottlieb-Walker, Kyle Richards, Brian Andrews, Danielle Harris, and even Rob Zombie.

Set those DVRs! This is gonna be a good one!

No shit?! Red carpets?! Conventuions?! Interviews?! I have to admit I had never heard of HORROR YEAR BOOK before. Was it a big deal back in the day? What do you mean piss off DREAD CENTRAL? You talkin' competition wise? And who's Brad Miska? What did you used to do? I'm not in the business, so-to-speak, I'm just a fan of movies and movie collector, which is why I'm asking all these questions.

When we did it no one seemed to care. HYB gets more traffic now than when I used to put in an effort. The reason I annoy people is because I don't have what it takes. I love the horror genre but not the horror culture. I can't go to conventions and make friends. People like Uncle Creepy and Dread Central do well because they want to play the reindeer games.

Anywhoo before I go into one of my rants... We get invited to do things and when I ask people to do them they either turn them down or flake. So I'm going to go back to doing things my way. This time i won't worry about not being taking seriously, or ruining my chances. I'm not trying to be cryptic in my answers, I'm just super drunk and can't type. I will explain more tomorrow.

If you wan't, I can whore myself out in Chicago for HYB. I can bring like a bunch of the HYB bookmarks there and leave 'em at the convention for people to take (Since if it's free, people will take it. Fucking savages  ).

I wanted to be in L.A. by October for Universal's Halloween Horror Nights and Frightfest but that is obviously not going to happen. Maddiy is out there but besides never turning in her interview with Zach Galligan she hasn't done much. Andrew and Gary did manage go to the Wolf Moon premiere (http://www.horroryearbook.com/5410505/horroryearbook-com-on-the-scene-wolf-moon) but they are busy trying to become screenwriters. I'm not sure our status with the Scream Awards (http://www.horroryearbook.com/544048/spike-tv’s-scream-2008-red-carpet-coverage) anymore because Molly flaked on a bunch of other events.

I want to give L.A. a good year, see if I can find some new people to work with HYB, try and do a few movie nights, and I'm even considering taking a stab at a HYB film festival. That would probably outside L.A. though. Maybe I will get to work on a couple films again. Although I never had an interest in making films I did enjoy working on SCM and would like to do it a few more times.

Who knows maybe I will get to L.A. and get in one of my moods and do nothing. Maybe I will end up having to get a job and not have enough time. We will see!

Thread = officially derailed! I'm already making plans. I want to take bus to D.C. maybe snoodle with Larry and company for a few days, then I'm off to Chicago! My financial  situation will decide how many days I stay. I want to visit with Kelsey, and then take a train to L.A..
