Ghost Month from Danny Draven is finally coming to DVD: A young housekeeper disrupts ancient customs and awakens the vengeful spirits of the dead in Ghost Month, spiriting onto DVD July 21 from North American Motion Pictures. Alyssa (Marina Resa), needing to escape from her possessive boyfriend, takes a job as a housekeeper for Miss Wu (Shirley To) and her devoutly religious Aunt Chen (Akiko Shima). Unfortunately, her employment begins during the Ghost Month. According to the Chinese calendar, the seventh month of the year marks the time when restless spirits break free from hell to mix among the mortals. During this time, specific rules must be followed to avoid falling prey to the damned: Do not whistle, for it will only invite them into the house; do not turn at the sound of your name, for it will open your soul to them; and never disturb ashes on the ground, for it will only anger them. Can Alyssa comply with the rules and honor the customs or will she trust that if she simply leaves the spirits alone, they’ll leave her alone? Ghost Month won Best Director and Best Cinematography and was nominated for Best Special FX at the 2007 Chicago Horror Film Festival. It was also an official selection at the 2007 L.A. Shriekfest Horror Film Festival, the 2007 Freakshow Horror Film Festival and the 2007 Halloween Horror Picture Show Film Festival. Ghost Month is presented in anamorphic widescreen with an aspect ratio of 16 x 9 and 2.0 stereo audio. Special features include behind-the-scenes footage, Origins of Ghost Month featurette; interview with Director Danny Draven; blooper reel; cast commentary track with Marina Resa, Shirley To and Rick Irvin; stills gallery; and closed captioning.

Ghost Machine arrives on DVD December 22nd courtesy of Anchor Bay Entertainment
One of the ancient rules of horror films – never disturb the spirits of the dead – gets a 21st century jolt of adrenaline when Anchor Bay Entertainment premieres Ghost Machine on DVD December 22nd. Starring a hot cast, including teen heartthrob Sean Faris (Forever Strong, Never Back Down), Rachael Taylor (Transformers, Shutter) and Luke Ford (The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor), Ghost Machine promises a technological journey into extreme horror! SRP is a translucent $26.97.
A group of young U.S. military techs borrow a top-secret combat simulator for a weekend of unauthorized gaming. Alcohol, spliffs (a cigarette of multiple types of leaves) and virtual pornstars get the evening off to a cracking start. They set up the system inside an abandoned prison used for the torture of post-9/11 prisoners and discover that someone – or something – has uploaded itself into their A.I. software. A deadly new player has now joined the game: How do you survive the final level of lock-and-load virtual reality when escape is impossible, slaughter is uncontrollable and the enemy is unstoppable? The ultimate battle begins inside the…Ghost Machine!!!
Bonus Features:
- The Making of Ghost Machine - Interview with Writer Sven Hughes - Theatrical Trailer

The Car. Nope, it's not a remake of the 1977 film instead, it's another supernatural yarn about a kid, fresh out of the psychiatric hospital, who begins restoring a Pontiac GTO. He's paid an unexpected visit by the ghost of a young woman who was killed in the car and she convinces him to kill the four men who murdered her. WATCH TRAILER HERE

A fun getaway turns into a journey to Hell for some unlucky teenage girls visiting an isolated house to rehearse and perform a play for their private movie club. Taking the trip with an adult chaperone, the girls learn that a previous club member supposedly went missing in the house, and another went insane! Shortly after they arrive, a mysterious videotape is found with footage of a violent killer wearing a Japanese ‘deigan’ mask. Is this footage faked—or real? Soon the girls’ food and equipment disappear, and one of the girls is hauned by ghostly visions of the masked demon. Someone–or something–is in the house, and gruesome death awaits those who cannot escape! Synapse Films presents Yôichi Nishiyama’s GUROZUKA, a stylized horror film in the J-Horror tradition of the genre-bending Japanese classic, THE RING, and the frightful ferver of SCREAM.
