I just don't really think of the Shining as a ghost story.. just more of a horror movie where a guy goes crazy.
But I see why it could be. I'd rather not call it a ghost story anyway because like I said, when I think of ghosts stories I think of PILEZ OF SHIT!

Word. Stir of Echoes is waaaay better. The story was written in the 50s by Richard Matheson, good stuff. And here we go.... Ghost Story (pretty kick ass...though the book was better.) The Haunting (the orginal!!!) The Changling The Entity The Sentinel (1977, about a gateway to Hell, kinda supernatural) Burnt Offerings (Karen Black and Oliver Reed are excellent in this film!) All classics! There are more, I just can't think of any right now. The Japanese can only want to make ghost stories as good as these... So don't go around saying there ain't no good ghost movies. If you haven't seen these, give 'em a try. |

I'm just saying that I think that they're all bad, so I say all of them suck! It's not that there's a ton of them and some are good and some are bad. They all suck! That's it! Why isn't Ichi horror? If Ichi isn't then Ring isn't. By saying we like different kinds of horror I meant just what I said, you like ghost girl shit and I look good films.. of course I'm sure I dislike tons of the films you like and I'm sure you probably dislike some of my favorites. For example I hate ALL of the Friday the Thirteenths and of the Jason movies all of the Halloween movies. My favorite modern horror film is May, which it seems most people hate. And at the same time I'm sure we love same of the same flix and could get along fine. So let's just stop talking about it since I'm not very good at thinking of arguments  |
