Ahaha, No Larry! That is one of my favorite Best Worst movies ever! I have that Double Feature with INITIATION (why are these two even together??).

I love the crazy old bat behind the counter and the camera always pulls away and you see a stuffed leopard and eagle or some shit right next to her. And the Black dude that take a craps and then sees her pop her head out of the floor. And the dumb chicks that sing in bed for the "record producer." Hilarious!

I fookin' love that movie as well, Molly! I think Larry was being a hater when he said it needs to be remade though. As a fellow "atmosphere" lover, you would think that he would find it by the bowl fulls in this underrated classic!! I love the scene where she sticks the scythe through the newlyweds face!! Wasn't that redneck classy, taking his new bride to that awesome motel??

I liked Silent Night, Bloody Night's script, but it lacked any scares or gore. (Don't confuse this with SNDN). Totally different. Anyway, it had potential, so they should remake this.

That's what I'm saying, I loved the script and I thought the axe murder was particularly well done.  I also feel that with a little more connectivity and a bunch more gore this film could be a real gem.  Not only that, but the prints that are avaliable of the film are horrible quality.  My Diamond DVD is so dark that I still have no idea what the guy at the end of the film looks like.

I'd actually love to see Basket Case remade. I know they could never capture the grit and grime of New York, shit, the city is pretty much a goddamn character in that movie...but just that IDEA, it's so demented. I don't think they really reached the limits of what they could do with the concept. The original will always be one of the most looniest things ever made but I'd like to see what someone else could bring to the table...
