On December 13th 2011, at 10PM (13/12/11 at 10 PM) something that has never been seen before will happen to the movie industry in Argentina. The brains behind the five episodes movie “Daemonium” directed by Pablo Pares (Plaga Zombie, Filmatron, Jennifer’s Shadows) will release the first of the five chapters of the project, online and completely free through their YouTube account.
The premier of the first short film will take place through different social networks and movie websites in all of Latin America, Canada and Europe have already signed in to the release of this innovative project that mixes genres like Science Fiction, Action and Horror, making use of the aesthetics of Cyberpunk, Dieselpunk and even Anime as direct references.
“Daemonium” is an original idea of Simon Raztiel and Dany Casco and has been put to work by some of the greatest names in the Argentinean movie industry. Companies like Farsa Producciones, Rabbid Fx, Studio Patna, Hydra Corp, associated with the studios Nerdhaus, Piromania Fx y Gilberto Zhu Studio.

It is worth mentioning that this project is completely self financed. It has received support from other countries and has the participation of renowned personalities like Patricia “Paty” Acevedo (born in Mexico in 1959) who is a Mexican dubbing actress, especially known for being the voice of different cartoon characters like Casper, Sailor Moon’s Serena, Chichi (Milk) and Chaos in Dragon Ball, Angelica of the Rugrats and Lisa Simpson in The Simpsons, and played the voice of Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) in the famous sitcom Friends. “Daemonium” also has the participation of Angélica Villa, which, among other feature films, is known as the Latin American voice of Jessica Stanley (Anna Kendrick) in the Twilight Saga, and movies like SpiderMan 2 and Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen. Finally, “Daemonium” incorporates one of the best Latin Dubbing Directors, Nicolás Frías, who directed the dubbing of movies like The Incredibles (Argentinean Version) Ratatouille (Argentinean Version) High School Musical 3 (dubbed dialogues in Argentina).
Conceived to be a multimedia product, “Daemonium” will also offer a great amount of extra materials, like the comic book drawn by cartoonist Jotar, who is already at fast pace with his pencils to finish his version of the saga. The “Daemonium” comic book will serve as a prequel to the story shown in the movie.
The story of “Daemonium” takes place in an alternate universe, where Technology and Magic live side by side, as well as humans and demons. Split in a series of 5 episodes, in “Daemonium” we see the rise of Razor (who is the visible face of a dystopic government aiming to fight one last war against Hell), the doubts of Rebecca (who will question along the series all she has ever believed in) and the birth of a new hero embodied by Fulcanelli (who will cross Razor’s plans of dominance and face his destiny against his will).
