There seems to be footage on top of footage in both of these videos. I caught one of the flashes from the second video with  with a screen shot.

According to Steven if you watch the 2nd video some shit drops out of the sky. I don't understand why they're doing this shit again. We know its just a fucking monster movie, why are they trying to make it some bullshit mystery again?

The screenshot in question is near the 26 - 27 second mark.

I honestly don't think these are real, they're NEAT but everything in them is just too random and unspecific for me, especially that shot of the monster in the first one, it looked horrible and cheap.

I think if the movie was coming out these would be much cooler and BIGGER. The first one was a huge hit, so there's no reason they can't make these small viral videos but still do stuff that's really cool and exciting.

I think Cloverfield 2 would be SO MUCH cooler if they just made a giant monster movie, minus all the Blair Witch style bullshit.  I got enough of that in the first one.  I liked the first one!  But let's do something different.

I dig the hand held shaking cam for Cloverfield.  A major reason why is that this movie is on a much bigger scale than blair witch.  There is more happening and it works well with the minimalistic camera presentation.  It doesn't show too much and leaves more to the unknown.  If they didn't do it with the hand held, than I think it would just be the same old monster movie without the suspense and the wonder.

Maybe.  I liked it in the first Cloverfield, but why repeat themselves over and over again.  Come up with something creative.  How many big budget monster movies are there that don't suck dick?  Maybe if they did something creative with the handheld camera stuff.  Like a profesional military photographer or something.  That'd be pretty sweet!  I'm betting they're just going to repeat the first movie with different people though.

I HATED the first Cloverfield when I was it at the theater. I couldn't believe how little we saw the monster...if you take every scene it's in...I don't think it'd even add up to 10 minutes...that's an hour and a half movie...where the main attraction is only in the damn thing for 10 minutes. Most of the movie seemed like it was the characters going up stairs...or walking down streets....or going across roofs....and those scenes just seemed to go on and on and on...

BUT...

I have grown to love it over time. I actually put it in my dvd quite a bit. The monster sucks...has no personality at ALL...they kind of blew it on the design, but again, I appreciate it more now. It's a fun LITTLE movie.

As for a part II...I mean...the possibilities are endless. I wouldn't mind more handheld action...it's still ripe for potential...but they could do a big budget mega monster fest and I'd be cool with that too.

I think that poster has been around for a while now...I stand by my opinion that there is no Cloverfield 2 on the way...

I hope I'm wrong!!! 

I do love this stuff though, she says "SEE" just as the thing falls into the building and the last video hit 2 weeks ago and she says, "See you in two weeks..." so either another video will hit then...or in two weeks I'll be eating my words...
