Troma has the Toxic Avenger, but Fullmoon has The Puppet Master.  Which indie horror company gives you the bigger boner?

Oh man I love both but Fullmoon has had a special place in my heart for years. I'm even a card carrying Full Moon Club member for like 10 years.

yea tough call. i went Full Moon though, they flooded the VHS decade (late '80s, early '90s) that Troma seemed to have missed out on. namely because they put out alot of crappy films.. and fell hard.

in those days you could pick up a handfull of new FM videos a month while Troma, you'd have to drive to every store in the state to find a copy of War or Sgt Kabukiman (which were far from new).. which of course i did. typical new release shelf: Puppet Master 2 or Toxic Avenger 3? if you've seen them both it's a no brainer. FM had Charlie Spradling too. i had a crush on her Cool. so FM actually had it's own era which filled in the hole, the death of 80's slashers left in my heart Cry..

Full Moon went to complete and utter shit though by 1999 and stayed there, while Troma got back to the top, and became better than ever.

it's like apples and oranges though.. Cyndi Lauper and Madonna. Troma's over-the-top silly fun, Full Moon made silly things serious and i suppose scarey to children.. but exploded and faded away

oh... and seriously wtf?! nobody EVER mentions Class of Nuke Em High! i rank that up there with Toxie 1 and 2.. Sgt Kabukiman. hell, even part 2 was better than alot of other Troma stuff, i love it's theme song Grin. don't confuse what Troma distributes with what they actually do either!

I had to give it to Troma.  While both companies have their amazing movies, and they both have shit, Troma just has a way cooler style.  I like Lloyd Kaufman way better then Charles Band as well.  The Toxic Avenger pretty much owns all.
As far as fullmoon goes, they DO have SubSpecies and Demonic Toys.  So.. they both have a little spot in my heart.

I went Troma.
Charles Band is a cool cat, but I prefer his early stuff (ie Tourist Trap, Mansion of the Doomed, etc) as well as the stuff on Empire Pictures...I hope we all know what those are?HuhHuhHuh?? Fullmoon only has a handful of flicks that I dig, I do really love them though!  For example, Subspecies and Castle Freak.  Puppet Master, meh...I prefer Stuart Gordon's Dolls, that movie fuckin' rocks!  And it got the ball rollin' for Puppet Master.

Ignoring who has more movies.  If you compare the best of Fullmoon to the best of Troma... Troma wins big time.  What's the deal with Fullmoon and dolls anyways?
Has anyone seen that Fullmoon movie with the shrunken heads?  That was pretty fucking awesome.  hahaha.
