Cannibal Films are a sub genre of exploitation film made mostly by Italian filmmakers through the 1970s and 80s. This sub genre is a collection of graphically gory movies that usually depict cannibalism by primitive, Stone-age natives. The general emphasis is on various forms of graphic violence typically including torture, rape, castration and/or animal cruelty.

CAnnibal Holocaust : The Beginning, really bad movie. Directed by Bruno Mattei under the name Vincent Dawn, this addition to the cannibal sub genre comes at least 20 years to late. Described as an almost scene by scene remake of the original this movie lacks everything that made Cannibal Holocaust a classic, terrible acting, poor gore and even the real animal killings lack the stomach churning factor.
The story is basically the same but the bad acting and overall quality killed this from the start for me. There has been another movie made under the title of Cannibal Ferox 2 (aka Land of Death, Cannibals vs Commandos) so hopefully I'll be able to avoid that one.

I dont know i really like Cannibal Holocaust- sick fuckin' movie though, the director was actually arrested from the theatre when the movie was released. The acting compared to most of the movies during that time was pretty good, seeing how Robert Kerman went on to do porn... then Spiderman. Somthing that i have heard though- someone wants to re-make the movie? Now thats just lame, along with Evil Dead- ya what the fuck?
