I just recently saw this film. It's a very good twist fu*k movie. If your into the whole exploitation scene like I am. If you seen this film what is your opinions on it?
For those of you who haven't seen it.
It's about a guy named Milos who's a retired porn star leading a normal family life with his wife Maria and his six-year old son Petar in tumultuous Serbia, trying to make ends meet.
Aware of his problems, Layla a former co-star, introduces Milos to Vukmir a mysterious, menacing and politically powerful figure in the adult film business who wants Milos to star in his latest project and is willing to pay him a fee that will provide financial support to Milos and his family for the rest of their lives. The only condition is that Milos signs a contract insisting on his absolute unawareness of the scripted scenes they are about to shoot. Encouraged by his wife to accept the job, Milos turns up for the first day of shooting and is immediately drawn into a maelstrom of unbelievable cruelty and mayhem devised by his employer, the 'director' of his destiny.
Milos life takes a turn for the worst.
This is a horrific, brutal, unflinching and dramatic horror movie.

I know there's a UK release already on DVD & Blu-Ray. They want to do a theatrical in the US in February & come to the theater as an R rated movie & cut out 3 scenes of the film. Only selected theaters are going to show the uncut film. The video release will be uncut.

Well hopefully they just do an uncut run in fewer theaters like Hatchet 2 did. Releasing films uncut is a nice way to kind of spark interest in the mainstream horror audiences. Plus I hate censorship and love when horror films systematically tell the MPAA to fuck off. Filmmakers are essentially artists who need their true visions to be shown the way they want to, as long as it doesn't break any laws of course.
Gruesome violence isn't illegal by law so why should it be cut to suit the MPAA's Utopian image for the film industry? If you deem it too terrifying for a certain group then don't let them watch the fucking flick. Don't cut shit out to please some 45 year old bible reading psycho mom from hell who is pissed her little Timmy watched a few too many horror flicks and got nightmares, leave them uncut so that film-making stays fun for those making the flicks. That's another reason I enjoy Indy flicks, alot of them aren't forced to be approved by the MPAA's standard so they can do almost everything they damn please.
Hatchet II going unrated in theaters, even though it was a limited theatrical release, is probably the most important thing to happen last year for the horror industry. Even if it did get pulled shortly after by AMC theaters, it left a mark that hopefully becomes a trend.

I know exactly what you mean. It's bull shit if the directer wanted it to be an R-Rated film he probably wouldn't have gone so graphic with it. Making this film an R-Rated movie just would take away from the whole film experience in general and what it was meant to be. Uncut and raw is how it should be. I hate when they do that. Damn MPAA. It's so TRUE what you say their gonna do the same thing as they did with Hatchet II.

I saw it at that Horror Film Festival last October and it was in glorious 35 mm. You can also download it on Pirate Bay. I downloaded a copy recently so that I could rewatch it.

Jbones and I watched this one. I thought it was ok at first, but after reading the interview with Srdjan Todorovic in Rue Morgue, I found a new appreciation for the film. His explainations for the purpose of this film made sense to me. I am quite interested in seeing what else this director has to offer.
Still...the 2 most disturbing films that I've seen in recent times are Antichrist and Cannibal. Both left a lasting impression, A Serbian Film didn't hit me the same way.

@WIL I downloaded it on Torrent @Larry I also can't wait to see what the director comes up with next. I really liked these movie though. I haven't seen Antichrist nor Cannibal. I'ma have to look into those. My most recent exploitation movie I seen was August Underground Mordum. Which I loved.

HorrorChick...you need to see 'em. I'll probably never watch Cannibal ever again, but it needs to be seen once if you dig traumatic cinema LOL! Antichrist is an excellent film, very disturbing to me on an emotional level.

I would subscribe to your YouTube channel but I've been banned so many times I just use Daily Motion now. I like the Top Five Remakes video.
