Here's DVDDrive-In's Reveiw of the standard DVD. (http://www.dvddrive-in.com/reviews/e-h/galaxyofterror81.htm). I myself am about to delve into the extras tonight, and will be watching the flick itself Saturday. From the booklet that was included, there was mention of Dameia being brought to orgasm during her maggot rape sequence, as I inquired about this on AV Maniacs, I was told that in the features I'm about top delve into, all scenes that implied Dameia was having orgasms during her rape were taken out. And this footage is gone and irretrievable. Well, that sucks. I'll post more tomorrow once I've had a chance to explore the DVD.

I will review that disc sooner or later. It's really good. The movie looks amazing and the bonus features are solid. The documentary is worth watching (Red Shirt always does a great job with their featurettes) and the commentary track was amusing. (the chick that gets raped by the maggot is over excited and kind of annoying though) If you dig the movie enough where you crave a couple bonus features - go for it. If you only like the movie enough to watch it every now and then and don't really care about the behind the scenes stuff I'd say stick with your copy.

Things I learned from watching TALES FROM THE LUMBERYARD: THE MAKING OF GALAXY OF TERROR:

1. Overall it was an EXCELLENT documentary! Good job Shout!
2. "Milk the tits, Bob." Ha! "Milk the tits, Bob." Love it!
3. They wanted Mark Hamill to be in the movie?! Wonder what THAT would have looked like.
4. James Cameron, talented as he may be, and is, CAN be a total, smug dick. And I didn't need to see this doc to get a sense of that. I've seen THE ABYSS documentary and that one also gives this trait he has away. Love to meet him, would NEVER wanna work with him.
5. Yes, I agree, GALAXY OF TERROR does look a lot like ALIENS.
6. That missing "orgasm footage" is gone. For good. Trashed. Thrown out. God damn!
7. What's left of it in the rape scene, well, it does sort of look like, in a few shots, anyway, that Dameia IS enjoying it's wangus.
8. Speaking of Taaffe O'Connell . . . so, she had a facelift?! Huh. (Note: I'm referring to how she looks nowadays in her recent interviews).
9. And, she was actually almost crushed by that prop! Shit!
10. Dammit, I can't think of a tenth one. Oh, wait, got one, Erin Moran's death was supposed to be something completely different, though, they never say what exactly that was.
