I saw the preview for this, the minute i heard her say, GIVE ME MY DOG BACK, with a gun in her hand, I felt a need to pursue this.

There is already Oscar buzz for Foster's performance. I just really want to see her hunt down gangtas with her gun and rescue her dog.

lol they said the same thing about Panic Room. not that she's not a good actress but Jodie Foster could film herself taking a shit and people would say she should get an Oscar.. though as usual it wouldn't even be nominated. lol it's been like that with her for as long as i can remember (1985). i still say she's only famous today due to John Hinckley and being a "lolita" 30 years ago.. which is pretty much why i like her.

I think this role is being compared to THE ACCUSED, but minus the rape. Supposed to be a broad that stands up for herself, but I guess instead of going to court, she takes to the street with a gun. This is going to be great. I heard there is a sequel where the dog becomes her sidekick and they fight crime together.

hmm.. a chick who instead of going to court takes shit into her own hands.. that's almost common because chicks are psycho. the only twist must be she's a lesbian and therefore doesn't know any meatheaded guys she can tell some bs story too, flutter her eye lashes at and make do her bidding.

it'd be better if she just told some stupid guys the dognappers raped her. they go and kill the the "bad guys" and a few innocent people who get in the way, go to prison, Foster gets her dog back. that's so realistic it could work!

Foster is a lesbian, but I don't think her character is. Isn't she pissed because the guys kill her husband and beat her up?

The other night, my husband told me one of his co-workers said this movie looked good.

I told him ' Sir your friend is incorrect ' 

I immediately thought of panic room when I saw this. Foster is no bad ass. You might as well put Paula Dean in this. At least that way you would get a recipe or two to take home.
I absolutely cannot stand Foster. I have yet to like a movie she is in aside from Silence and I still think the role of Clarice could have been cast better.

Well, I think the point of casting her was to get a woman that was not a badass and looked like a regular person. Makes it more believeable and the audience more sympathetic to her plight. Then when you see her make a transition into this person that is capable of killing, you are rooting for her underdog character,

I read an interview with Foster recently and she gave bizarre quotes saying she didn't like this character and she was a bad person. Then she added she wanted all guns removed from people's homes.

Yeah, she is a lesbian. Her picture was on the cover of OUT! magazine even though it wasn't authorized. They ran a long article about celebrities that hide in the closet to protect their careers and she was one of them. Her longtime lady friend isn't very pretty either, which bums me out. What is the point of being rich and famous if you can't get the high class tail?
