Where to begin.
GREAT AWESOME FUCKING MOVIE.
It got my votes for the Best Foreign Film of the year.
Visuals were stunning./
the goat- excuse me- Faun character was amazing.
Trust me no matter how old you are you will freak out when you see the skinny man - the guy who has his eyes on his palms. apparently he eats small children.
the basic story line is that of a little girl who imagines a fantasy world that she used to be apart and has three trials to earn herself the right to return to her world, with the spanish civil war happening all around her.
if you have some extra time and are looking to see something unique check it out.
there was a little indy theatre near my house and it was only a few bucks.

I am sad because this is not coming out here, I'm going to have to wait for it to hit DVD
That makes me cry inside.

I cannot wait to see this movie. A friend of mine has praised it highly and his taste has never failed on me, so I cannot wait.

This is one good movie indeed, allthough I prefered the Devil's backbone.
Correction: it is not set during the Spanish Civil War. That was from 1936-1939, so its the aftermath, i.e. the Franco regime.

I've seen it and I'm picking up the DVD in March. I love region free dvd players. Woohoo!
It's gonna be really hard for another movie to come along and top this for movie of the year.
