I am surprised no one said I was too harsh in that write up, but for the record, it was WIL that made that "You Gonna Get Raped" picture. Actually he makes all of those including the Kermit one.

I'm one of the few that enjoy The Creeper I guess. It's a great character that needs defining, so if the third film goes into the history of "the bat out of hell" and has some cool Creeper scenes, then I'm game. I met half of the cast of JC 2 at a Fangoria Convention a few years back, and they were a fun group of kids. And the guy that plays The Creeper, Jonathan Breck, is probably one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet at a horror convention.

Wow. That's some scary shit. I mean.. yeah he commited the crime almost 20 years ago. And I do believe in forgiving someone for their sins. God does.. why can't we? But A) I'm pretty sure I hate pedophiles more then anything else in the world. B) This dude was totally caught red handed, and he didn't even get fucking punished for ruining some kid's life. That kid is going to probably have issues forever because of that lardo and he just got parole? The worst thing... is all those movies mentioned in that article are movies I enjoyed okay, but if I were to rewatch them now I'd totally catch hints that weirdo has probably thrown in them. Ugh.. I need to go take a shower.

The basic story goes that he molested that boy over the course of 2 movies, but it was after CLOWNHOUSE that he told his mother and she contacted the authorities. He was found guilty after they found videotape of the acts. He admitted guilt and apologized. He was only sentenced to 3 years in prison and of those 3 years, he only served 8 months.
Now take into consideration that Salva most likely ruined that boy for life. Is 8 months of Salva's life equal to 80 years of that child's life? I don't think that was justice at all. Also, both were working towards their careers at the time. The predator became famous. The victim never acted again.
This tale of art vs conscience (should we shun his work because he is a pervert?) is similar to the Roman Polanski case where he admitted he drugged, raped, and sodomized a 13 year old girl. The fucker pleaded guilty, then fled to France (where coincidentally they have a tendency of running and hiding from things). He went on to win the 2002 Best Director Oscar of course.

They protested Powder out here in Concord when it came out. The kid was from around here and a lot of people mobilized for the protest. It was big news out here.
I was working at a mini storage at the time and one of the producers, Robin Mortarotti had a storage locker there. He came in PISSED OFF and emptied the unit. He gave me the poster for clownhouse, an old Mitchell tripod that weighs ninety pounds and some lighting crap. He wouldn't tell me what happened about the film. I read about it in the paper about a week later.
