Afraid of losing their cash cow Summit Entertainment announced that the final Twilight Saga movie, Breaking Dawn, will be two films. This will also allow the studio to better adapt the book which is 756 pages long. The first of the films will hit theaters on November 18, 2011, and will start production this Fall. No release date or title for the second film was given.
The novel is broken into three separate parts. The first part focuses on Edward and Bella’s marriage, the second is from the perspective of werewolf Jacob Black and the third deals with Bella becoming a vampire.

Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene have finally agreed to a deal with Summit Entertainment and will return as Alice and Emmet Cullen for the final Twilight Saga films. It is not clear why the two buckled but according to Reuters “they are getting about $1.25 million for each of the final movies. A far cry from either the $4 million or $2 million they were initially seeking. But certainly more than they made for the first three movies.”
Now we just have to wait to see if Summit decides to split Breaking Dawn into two films. Eclipse arrives in theaters June 30, 2010 followed by the fourth film on November 18.

Twilight director Catherine Harwick said “things could turn ugly” if Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz’s contract issues are not resolved soon. The actors have called offers from Summit Entertainment insulting and various sources claim that the two may be replaced, if they continue to hold up production of the last two films.
“It would really break my heart if they were replaced, but it could happen” Hardwick told reporters at last weekend’s Twilight convention in Vancouver.

A few lucky Twilight fans are buzzing on Twitter after seeing an advanced screening of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse with Oprah Winfrey for her TV show. The episode with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning will air next Thursday, May 13. Eclipse opens in theaters on June 30. Here is what the fans are saying:

According to The Sun Twilight star Robert Pattinson admitted that he is indeed dating co-star Kristen Stewart at Sunday’s BAFTAs.
“Brit actor Robert carried on with the secrecy at Sunday’s Bafta bash – then admitted they were a couple at the post-do dinner.”
“We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it’s impossible. We are here together and it’s a public event but it’s not easy. We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention.”

It has been a looong time since I’ve updated our Twilight blog, and I figured that posting a picture of Robert Pattinson’s new greasy hairdo at the BAFTAs in London last night, is a great way to get it rolling again. Their was an uproar from fans and the studio the last time Pattinson cut his hair… So I wonder what the reaction will be like this time!

The Twilight Saga: New Moon hasn’t even finished mopping up the competition yet, and posters for the third film, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, have already started hitting theaters. Check out the first one sheet for the film below.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon broke the record for midnight openings with $26.27 million at 3,514 theaters, and smashed The Dark Knight’s single day record ($67.2 million) by earning $72.7 million on Friday at 4,024 theaters.

As big as the first Twilight film was, the hype for New Moon has been even bigger. With the bigger budget and improved special effects not to mention Taylor Lautner’s new look and enhanced chemistry with Kristen Stewart, the anticipation was high and the film did not disappoint. Most people either love or hate the Twilight series. Although, I think New Moon is a definite step up from Twilight and an all around better film, most likely this isn’t going to gain many new fans (except for those that Taylor Lautner’s killer screen presence converts). It’s in the same spirit as the first, but with more action, tension, and gets deeper in to the world of the supernatural rather than having to bother with all of the introductions.

I have to admit since I was given the job of covering everything Twilight on Horror Yearbook I have become slightly obsessed with Ashley Greene. What can I say… She is hot! Kristen Stewart’s sleepy stoner look just doesn’t do it for me.
Anywhoo I have a few pictures from the New Moon premiere. Most of them are of Ashley Greene and the other two are of Robert Pattinson and Stewart. I would also like to point out that this is our 100th post on our Twilight blog. It is kind of fitting since New Moon comes out this Friday!

Here are the latest pictures that are fueling the Robert Pattinson/Kristen Stewart dating rumors. The actors were caught holding hands at an airport in Paris. They also stopped to take a picture with a thumb lady… Sorry, but seriously that lady(?) in the picture looks like a thumb!
Pattinson recently told Vanity Fair that the two are not a couple.
“It doesn’t make any difference what you say to the tabloids. I’ve literally been across the country from Kristen, and it’s like ‘Oh, they were on secret dates!’ It’s like ‘Where? I can’t get out of my hotel room!’”
I honestly don’t know why if they were dating they would need to keep it such a secret!

In New Moon, you compete for a woman’s affections. Has that ever happened to you in real life?
Yeah, it has, but any girl I’ve ever really wanted to go out with in the past, I’ve always lost to someone else! I know that sounds like the ones I did go out with were the ones I didn’t want to go out with, but that’s not the case. A lot of my ambitions are tied up with wanting pretty girls to like me [laughs].
