Shark Night 3D was a disappointment as a movie and at the box office ($34 million worldwide). Unfortunately it turned out just to be a boring PG-13 version of Piranha 3D. However, it did manage to deliver Sara Paxton in a bikini and a Katharine McPhee sideboob… So it wasn’t a total waste of time!

I caught around 2-minutes of the Scream Awards last night and I’m pretty sure it gave me cancer. They were giving Pee-wee Herman a lifetime achievement award, and I couldn’t stop thinking about how pathetic the entire thing was. Who watches this crap?

When I think of David DeCoteau I think of shirtless men not women, but Charles Band has made the sequel to Killer Eye all about the ladies. I don’t know who any of these actresses are since Band didn’t tag them on Facebook, and there is no IMDB page for me to base an educated guess on. If you know their names please leave a comment.

Liv Tyler told Coming Soon that she wasn’t in love with the idea of appearing in the sequel to the Strangers, but according to Bloody Disgusting, she was offered a role in the John Carpenter produced The Hell Within. Written by Midnight Meat Train scribe Jeff Buhler, The Hell Within tells the story of a woman who goes on a quest into the heart of a Brazilian jungle to save a girl, only to discover that the girl was bait…

I’m not sure what that means, but it doesn’t even sound like a horror movie. And since Carpenter is involved, it could be a long time until we see Tyler in a horror movie again. Until then, you can see her bound, gagged and topless in the 2011 drama The Ledge.

Shark Night 3D

Diane Foster Takes a Shower in The Orphan Killer

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen mysterious ads for The Orphan Killer in various horror magazines a few months ago. My research (aka Googling “The Orphan Killer”) revealed that the DVD was released via Facebook on February 14th of this year. I guess the ads worked because the official Orphan Killer FB page has over 95,000 “Likes”. TOK’s approach is much better than the pathetic and desperate Perfect House campaign I can’t stop watching online. Instead of wasting his money on a crappy looking RV for a US tour no one cares about, the albino should’ve bought a few ads in Horror Hound. It seems to have worked very well for The Orphan Killer.

Anywhoo, here is newcomer Diane Foster, star of The Orphan Killer, taking a shower and the trailer for the flick.

The Orphan Killer is a tour de force murder flick that defies classification. It goes far beyond current trends in gore and breaks open a new suffering genre of horror. Marcus Miller is a serial murderer hellbent on teaching his estranged sister Audrey what it means to have family loyalty. His lessons are taught in massive doses of vulgar and unimaginable pain. Throughout her brutal torture we learn that Marcus is not the only Miller with Killer in the bloodline as Audrey proves to be a formidable adversary.
