Interview: Insan0 – Say You Love Satan

[Editor's Note: In the ultimate act of laziness and in an effort to quickly update the site, I did not edit Insan0's typed answers. They appear exactly as he sent them to us, and perhaps that is the way he wanted them to appear in the first place.]

It’s should be no secret to horroryearbook alumni that your old pal Brain Hammer loves Satan. I say it all the time. Any of friend of the Devil is a friend of mine…and one of my more interesting myspace friends is an INSANELY talented and demented motherfucker named insan0. insan0 is blowing the fuck up out of the underground with his unique brand of “Ultra Psychopathic Snuff Serial Killer Horrorcore Brutal Evil Extreme Satanic Death Murder Music.”

On Halloween Night 2009, insan0 dropped a brand new ep titled SAY YOU LOVE SATAN. This 3 track ep was created specifically for the true crime/murder music enthusiasts. SAY YOU LOVE SATAN is inspired by true events – a violent murder that occurred in Northport, New York back in 1984. Ricky Kasso (RIP) was THE ACID KING. He supplied the town of Northport with all the doses, dope, and dust they needed, and then some. Gary Lauwers was a scumbag who made the fatal mistake of ripping off the Acid King and he paid with his young life. Ricky, along with his evil disciples Jimmy and Albert invited Gary out for a night of fun in Azteka Woods, and then butchered him as a sacrifice to SATAN.

Terror Tracks says HAPPY HALLOWEEN with Our Last Track Plus 2 Bonus Tracks!

Since I’ve kind of skimmed down the tracks a bit (or better yet cheated all of you out of a 11), I’m giving you my treat for Halloween – 2 bonus tracks have been added to the player below. The final three tracks are from the movies Gutterballs, Predator, and Tenebre and all of them are themes from their respective titles.

Terror Tracks to Halloween: The Burbs’ Jerry Goldsmith

Welcome back to Terror Tracks to Halloween! With Halloween almost here, I’m going to be lighting the mood up with some Jerry Goldsmith and The ‘burbs. Yeah, that quirky dark comedy horror hit with Tom Hanks and Bruce Dern. RIP Henry “Dr. Klopek” Gibson.

Terror Tracks to Halloween: Basil Poledouris (Starship Troopers)

Welcome back to Terror Tracks to Halloween! We are on day 4 of 6! We’re getting close to the top spot. I know, I know that this isn’t technically horror – yet it has the elements of a creature feature! Starship Troopers, the big hunt is on!

Terror Tracks to Halloween: Goblin (Deep Red)

Another day, another terror track! This one comes from Goblin, who we SHOULD all know well and love, right? Don’t let me catch you not knowing who Goblin is or I will string you up by your toe nails. With that being said, here is the theme from Dario Argento’s Deep Red. The title is called Profondo Rosso and it is typical Goblin Italiano trash and I love every bit of it and now you can share my love for it too!

Terror Tracks to Halloween: Fabio Frizzi & Giorgio Tucci (Zombie)

Welcome back to Terror Tracks to Halloween. We are at number 5 of 6 on the countdown. I started you off with a more mainstream film, Cape Fear, and now I’m bringing you back to the Indie scene, the Italian Indie scene with the theme from Lucio Fulci’s Zombie (aka Zombi 2).

Terror Tracks to Halloween: Elmer Bernstein (Cape Fear)

We did something similar to this last year with providing 11 horror related themes from various films. We even made them available for download. However, this year will be different. First off, we’re only doing 6 instead of 11 and we are covering our asses and just letting you listen to them. Sorry folks but we don’t wanna get sued.

Soundtrack Review: Jennifer’s Body

Along with our review of Jennifer’s Body, HorrorYearbook continues coverage of the horror/comedy with a review of the film’s soundtrack. But after Maddy’s negative review, it seems she has driven the nail’s head right in to casket as these fifteen tracks are the pivotal of teen trends and teen angst. The Jennifer’s Body soundtrack can be said as nothing new in the genre of teen hardship films but with the horror element involved it asks the questions, does the track listing work within a genre that helps creates the whole idea of youth problems or does it need to be updated for the modern times and be reworked for the co-existing horror element? I believe in the latter. With the first question, you might be able to get away with this album in the 80’s and, perhaps, even in the early 90’s but I feel we’ve past that point in time to where we need to move on and try something more experimental, something new for the viewers and the listeners.

What is on Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 Soundtrack?

It’s Sunday and I’m bored of watching bad “dramas” on TNT, so I dug up some info on Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 soundtrack.

Zombie’s movies take soundtracks back to the old days — before they were just another cheap tie-in — by including songs that he feels fit the mood of a scene. I applaud him for not filling his movies with music that would just sell a few more CDs, or make himself an extra few bucks on Itunes downloads. How badly could he have sold out by writing his own new single for Halloween or The Devil’s Rejects? Instead he took a lot of crap for including “Freebird” and “Love Hurts” in the films, and has said that he would never use his own songs.

Horroryearbook Interview with Jamie Madrox of TWIZTID!!!

Where most rappers celebrate the urban lifestyle with the same old themes and the same old image, Twiztid peel away the gloss and expose the innards…with an oversized butcher knife! They take the hard edge of theatrical rock-and-roll and temper it with gritty hip-hop to create a musical monstrosity so dangerously real it must be hidden with facepaint. Brain Hammer was the only horroryearbook writer with the GUTS to do an exclusive interview with Jamie Madrox of Twiztid.

Music Review: Hank III Damn Right Rebel Proud

Fuckin’ first time I heard of HANK III was via the liner notes of a SUPERJOINT RITUAL record a long while back. He was the bass player. He is also the son of Hank Williams Jr. and of course the grandson of HANK WILLIAMS. Bout a year er so back I found myself completely aligned with this fuckers music…

11 Downloadable Horror Movie Tracks

In celebration of Halloween our Message Board member Deathwish Bronson posted 11 Days of Horror Movie Tracks, and in the name of laziness I’m reposting them here, but all on 1 day. So call this our Halloween in November: 11 Downloadable Horror Movie Tracks, because lets be honest, besides the dinner, Thanksgiving sucks… and you can make turkey on any day.

Metal Blades Record Compilation (Music Review)

I just picked up the new Metal Hammer. One of the CD’s with the mag is a Metal Blade Records spotlight comp. If you don’t know much about MB then fuck off. The longest running (over 25 years now) METAL label in the world is still going strong…
