Brian Keene has written a lot of decent books, but for some reason the Chiller channel has decided to adapt his least popular novel Ghoul into made-for-TV movie. They’re comparing it to Stephen King’s Stand by Me, but that seems like a far stretch. Check out the trailer below.
Ghoul tells the story of three damaged children who set out to find who, or what, is behind a rash of local disapperances. Staring Modern Family’s Nolan Gould, the film explores the darkness that hides behind small town life.
It is the summer of 1984 when a teenage couple goes missing among the gravestones of the local cemetery. Twelve-year-old Timmy and his best friends, Barry and Doug, have grown up hearing stories about a sinister Ghoul that haunts the cemetery. Eventually, they begin to wonder if the horrific legend might actually be real. Timmy and his friends are forced to put their friendship to the ultimate test when they dig up long-buried secrets, facing their personal demons and the one hiding underground.

Saint Dracula is the first ever stereoscopic 3D film to be made about Dracula… Or so the Wikipedia page claims. It’s directed by Rupesh Paul who directed My Mother’s Laptop. I guess it isn’t technically a “Bollywood” film, but I couldn’t think of a better title.

It looks like we have a potential January sleeper with The Devil Inside. I wasn’t blown away by the trailer originally, but this clip of a priest drowning a baby piqued my interest.
2012 is going to be a big year for Joss Whedon. He will either sink or swim with the most important super hero movie ever made, The Avengers, and he has the chance to prove to horror fans that he is not a joke with Cabin in the Woods.
Cabin has been long delayed and long overdo, but the wait is almost over. The movie releases on April 13, 2012, a few weeks before The Avengers which hits theaters on May 4.
Return of the Killer Shrews reunites Bo Duke (John Schneider), Sheriff Rosco. P. Coltrane (James Best) and Deputy Cletus Hogg (Rick Hurst) from the Dukes of Hazzard. It also stars Jennifer Lyons (National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze 2), Jeneta St. Clair (Barely Legal) and Katherine Randolph (Girl Play).
