YAY! Dark Night of the Scarecrow is finally coming to DVD! Writer J.D. Feigelson told HYB that VCI Entertainment will be releasing the DVD sometime around Halloween.
DNotS made our Top Ten Made for TV Horror Movies and has been called, “the creepiest made for TV horror flick ever made,” by our own Brain Hammer.
Scarecrow stars Charles Durning as Otis P. Hazelrigg who wrongly accuses and executes Bubba Ritter (Larry Drake aka Dr. Giggles), a mentally-challenged man, for raping a young girl. When Hazelrigg and his group of vigilantes escape murder charges, they start to dying one-by-one while being stalked by a mysterious scarecrow… Hazelrigg must figure out who is behind the scarecrow’s revenge before he is the next victim.

Here is the full trailer for Puppet Master: Axis Of Evil on DVD June 15th. The official Full Moon website is taking preorders for a limited edition 2 disc set, that comes in an Andre Toulon trunk collectors case. My pee pee dripped a little because it looks so fucking great!

Say it ain’t so… The great Kevin Costner in a a direct to DVD horror/thriller!?! Actually The New Daughter had a very limited theatrical run in December and Anchor Bay is releasing it on DVD and Blu-ray May 1. Both discs will feature an audio commentary by director Luis Berdejo, a behind the scenes featurette and a theatrical trailer.
New Daughter follows John James (Costner) as he tries to rebuild his family after a painful divorce. John has his hands full raising his youngest child, Sam (Gattlin Griffith), and especially his adolescent daughter, Louisa.

While trying to dig up some details on the Daybreakers DVD and Blu-ray release, I tripped over some other interesting horror related Blu-ray news on Blu-ray.com.
When presented with the idea of converting The Exorcist into 3D, William Friedkin replied it would never happen, “providing I’m still alive.” Friedkin confirmed that the Blu-ray of The Exorcist is coming out this fall.
Here is some exciting news from the revamped (again!) Fangoria website. Synapse Films has acquired the rights to The Dorm That Dripped Blood with “many other exciting titles” that they plan to announce in the next few weeks.
Synapse’s Don May Jr. told Fango, “We’re working with [director/producer] Jeffrey Obrow, and we’ve uncovered his original answer print, which is titled Death Dorm. He believes that when the film was released as Dorm That Dripped Blood, the theatrical distributor did some editing and changed things around, in addition to the name. Our print is the only 35mm version of the film with the Death Dorm title, and it may contain footage that nobody has seen in 30 years.”

Full Moon announced Puppet Master: Axis of Evil will be available on DVD on June 15th, 2010. The 10th film fills in the gap between the original film and Toulon’s Revenge, arguably the two best movies in the series. You can check out the teaser trailer here.

I have no idea, but if you can’t get enough of the new zombie sub-genre, the Chicken Dead, then today is your lucky day.
Zombeak (official website) is hatching on DVD in the UK on March, 1, 2010. (I’m not sure about a US release date yet.)

Showtime announced via their Twitter page that Dexter: Season 4 will be making its way to DVD
and Blu-ray
sometime in August.
There is no official release date yet, but for those of you who need to catch up, Season 5 will not air until this Fall… So you should be in good shape.
