This is an idea I’ve had ever since I first saw John Water’s Pink Flamingoes back when I was 21, broke and drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon beer; A “Pabst Blue Ribbon Movie Marathon” sponsored by PBR at my favorite local bar. Even though I am opposed to those second run movie theaters who serve pizza and beer, some of my most memorable horror movie watching moments have been at bars; I saw a bootleg 3-D showing of Friday the 13: Part 3 while I drank whiskey and ate calamari in Philadelphia. I snuck in my own booze to a bar in San Francisco to see Street Trash and yet some of my favorite movie viewing nights, were laying on the floor, while me and few friends got drunk and watched a variety of horror gems.
Now that I am currently hiding from society in Big Sur, California I may never have an opportunity to book my Pabst night. So I decided to give you three movies you can watch that all star Pabst Blue Ribbon. So get a keg (no cases pussies) of PBR and rent Blue Velvet, Pink Flamingoes and Slaughter High, then invite the neighborhood over and see who can spot the cameo by your guest of honor; Pabst Blue Ribbon.
