Have you ever wished that The Twilight Zone contained more hardcore sex? Well director Paul Thomas has answered your prayers with The Twilight Zone: Porn Parody.
The adult Twilight Zone is not like the other porn parodies we are used to. Thomas’ movie doesn’t seem to be based on any original Twilight Zone episodes, and I don’t think it conatins any humor. Instead the director seems to have crafted his own serious Twilight Zone tale. Don’t expect any appearances from William Shatner or any “Eye of the Beholder” references. Ladies and Gentlemen, you’re entering the wondrous dimension of imagination. Next stop….The Twilight Zone: Porn Parody!

Altitude follows a group of teens on a weekend getaway aboard a small plane that suddenly turns deadly for the rookie pilot and four young friends: Julianna Guill (Friday the 13th, 90210), Ryan Donowho, Landon Liboiron (Degrassi: The Next Generation) and Jake Weary. Minutes after the group takes-off, an unexplained malfunction sends the aircraft climbing out of control into the heart of a mysterious storm. Unable to get their bearings or contact the ground, the survivors gradually realize they are locked in combat with a terrifying supernatural force.

It was a photofinish, but The Last Exorcism edged out Takers for the number one spot at this weekend’s box office. Exorcism scared up enough teens to earn $21.3 million, while Takers raked in an estimated $21 million. This is producer Eli Roth’s first hit since Hostel bagged $19.5 million in 2006. Exorcism did better than 2009s The Unborn, but did not recreate the success of The Exorcism of Emily Rose which opened with $30.1 million in 2005.

After the truth finally comes out about Crystal (by her transforming in to a black panther in front of Jason), we are shown how he deals with this new truth. Jason isn’t all that understanding, but that’s a real surprise since he isn’t known for being particularly open minded towards the supernatural. He tries to find Sookie to figure out what to do, but ends up trying to relive his glory days when things were far simpler. He can’t even use that as an escape since the new him seems to have things far easier than he ever did.

The cast of True Blood made some big news this week, but it didn’t have to do with the show. Anna Paquin married co-star Stephen Moyer this past Saturday. The wedding was held at a private beach house in California. Carrie Preston, who plays Arlene Fowler, told UsMagazine.com, “They’re really sweet with each other. They just really get each other. Anna will say she’s never been happier.”

Adam Green’s Hatchet II will be distributed in theaters without an MPAA rating beginning Oct. 1, 2010 — marking it as the widest release of an unrated genre film in more than 25 years.
Green said, “Having a movie as graphically over the top as Hatchet II come out in major theatres unrated is an absolute dream come true — not only for the genre fans but for the entire make-up effects crew who normally have to watch their amazing achievements get sliced and diced for theatrical release. This is an important event for the horror genre and I hope the real horror fans support Hatchet II and help change the way genre films are released theatrically from this day forward. Kudos to Dark Sky Films and AMC theaters for truly honoring the spirit of old school American horror and doing this right. Gorehounds won’t know what hit them!”
First Motel Hell and now Dario Argento’s Demons is getting its own comic book! Stefan Hutchinson is writing Demons 3, to tie in with new DVD releases of Demons and Demons 2 from Arrow Video in the UK.
Hutchinson told FEARnet about the comics, “It’s a comic book sequel to the classic 80s ‘Demons’ films, and will be released in two parts with the forthcoming Special Edition releases from Arrow Video. Book One will come with Demons and Book Two will come with Demons 2.”
