Thank god Hayden Panettiere and Emma Roberts are starring in Scream IV! I was really running out of chicks for our Hot Babe / Scream Queen section. Roberts is the former jailbait actress who starred on the TeeNick TV show Unfabulous. She also played Nancy Drew in the 2007 movie. She is kinda like a lesser-known, cleaner Miley Cyrus.

The highly anticipated sequel to one of the scariest films of all time, [REC] 2 picks up 15 minutes from where we left off, taking us back into the quarantined apartment building where a terrifying virus has run rampant, turning the occupants into mindlessly violent, raging beasts. A heavily armed SWAT team and a mysterious government official are sent in to assess and attempt to neutralize the situation. What they find inside lies beyond the scope of medical science—a demonic nightmare of biblical proportions more terrifying than they could have possibly imagined. Above all it must be contained, before it escapes to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting world outside.

Published by May 30th, 2010 in The Horror Homo. 16 CommentsLast month we talked about a “gay horror” film, a film either made by a gay director and/or a film marketed at a gay audience. As I said before, I don’t feel an affinity towards said genre, I feel there is no need. Especially when there are so many queer moments in mainstream horror and slasher films. This month, I present some of my favorite gay moments in horror and slasher cineama, some subtle and some blatant (in no particular order).

I wouldn’t necessarily say that the poor girls in the movie deserved what they got, but there’s no way that anyone who’s actually seen a real horror movie would let this happen.
