Scout Taylor-Compton Wants Halloween 3 Not to Suck!?!

Horror-Movies.ca posted a video of a Stickam chat featuring Scout Taylor-Compton (Laurie Strode) talking about Halloween 3D. Taylor-Compton says if there is a “great script” she will return for a third film, but she refuses to do a movie that “sucks” and will not reprise her role as Strode if the studio rushes H3 into production. Someone should tell her that it is too late, because she has already done a few movies that suck, including both Rob Zombie Halloween films.

Kevin Williamson Reveals a lot About Scream 4

During an interview with IESB (via Shocktillyoudrop) about his TV show The Vampire Diaries, writer Kevin Williamson talked a lot about his newest film project Scream 4.

The interview revealed that the first draft of Scream 4 is almost finished, and that Williamson is only contracted to write parts 4 and 5, so no plans for a 6th film yet. When asked if Wes Craven is going to direct he replied, “Oh, Wes is going to do it.”

Williamson also confirmed that Scream 4 will not be in 3D and talked a little bit about his plans for the return of Ghostface

Katrina Bowden’s Ass Looks Great in Tucker & Dale vs. Evil

These promo pictures of Katrina Bowden’s ass sure got my attention for director/writer Eli Craig’s new film Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, a movie that I have ignored in the past. This is the kind of PR studios should be sending out to promote their new horror films. Screw boring one-sheets and Twitter updates… Give us some T&A!

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil nabbed a distribution deal at the Sundance Film Festival a few days ago, and Screencrave.com claims it “is fucking amazing.”

“The film is about two hillbillies, Tucker and Dale who head up to their dilapidated cabin for a “vacation.” On their way into the woods, they run into a group of young, attractive colleges kids and Dale unintentionally gives them the wrong impression. After a misunderstanding, the group thinks that Tucker and Dale are murderers and attempt to kill them before they get killed themselves.”

Two TV Spots For The Crazies (2010)

This February horror fans are stuck with nothing but remakes — unless you count Shutter Island or Adam Green’s Frozen — but at least the remakes don’t look that bad. Benicio Del Toro’s The Wolfman (February 12, 2010) and Overture Films’ The Crazies (February 26, 2010) bookend the month. Hopefully one of them will be half-decent.

Check out two new TV spots for The Crazies below.

The Vampire Diaries: Episode 12, Unpleasantville

Unpleasantville takes us back to the ‘50s with a rocking sock hop. Feeling in the spirit of the decade Elena tries to find out more about Stefan’s life in this time and tries to get a feel for the poodle skirts and milkshakes that movies have put in her mind. After a little prying Stefan even busts out his dance moves, romancing Elena on the dance floor. Of course, they can’t forget what they are really doing there. The vampire Elena ran over has been stalking her, even dressing up as a pizza delivery boy in order to get the ever so desired invitation in. Elena discovers this after he attacks her after hanging from the ceiling, Stefan arriving just in time to save her.

Robert Englund Joins Angel on Bones

Here is a horror team up I never thought I would see — Freddy Krueger and Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. According to TV Guide Robert Englund will be playing a creepy custodian on an upcoming, “slasher-themed episode” of David Boreanaz’s TV show Bones.

“The story finds jaded Brennan (Emily Deschanel) planning to skip her high school reunion, until a murder sends her and Booth (Boreanaz) to the scene to investigate.”

The Women of The Wolfman Naked

I asked Chris to put together a post featuring the different looks of the Wolfman through the ages, and he sent me nude pictures of Emily Blunt and Geraldine Chaplin instead.

As you all know by now Benicio Del Toro’s The Wolfman arrives in theaters on February 12, 2010. It stars Emily Blunt as Gwen Conliffe and Geraldine Chaplin as Malev.

Blunt appeared nude in 2004′s My Summer of Love and Chaplin gots naked in a foreign film entitled, Voyage en Douce.

Peter Straub’s A Dark Matter Book Trailer

I’m halfway through Peter Straub’s new book, A Dark Matter, and I will hopefully have a review for you before it releases on February 9, 2010. Until then check out the new teaser trailer for the novel below.

The charismatic and cunning Spenser Mallon is a campus guru in the 1960s, attracting the devotion and demanding sexual favors of his young acolytes. After he invites his most fervent followers to attend a secret ritual in a local meadow, the only thing that remains is a gruesomely dismembered body—and the shattered souls of all who were present.

Zelda Rubinstein Finally Dead at 76

Zelda Rubinstein finally died after battling for her life at the Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles for over a month. The 4ft 3in actress — who we accidently wrote off at the end of December of 2009 — died on Wednesday January 27, 2010 after suffering a heart attack.

Rubinstein is best known to horror fans for playing ” Tangina ” in all three Poltergeist films. She was 76-years-old.

Kevin Greutert Raped in the Face by Lionsgate?

I have no idea what is going on with Saw VI director Kevin Greutert or Saw VII — because I honestly don’t care — but today he posted a Blog entitled; “Woo hoo! Lawyers are sending me to Canada tomorrow!”

Greutert writes: “I just had the task of telling my 83 year old mother that no, I’m not going to be allowed to direct the movie we were all so excited about when my family last got together, and that I’m being forced to leave town before getting a chance to see her again. Yes, I’ll be filming people getting tortured YET AGAIN. So we’ll have to put off me making a film she can actually watch for another year. I’m not making this shit up.”

It sounds like Kevin was selected to direct Paranormal Activity 2 but Lionsgate is forcing him to direct Saw VII in 3D instead. Why would a studio force someone to direct a film? It sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Michelle Trachtenberg Complex Magazine

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl star, Michelle Trachtenberg, is sporting her Valentine best in the newest issue of Complex magazine.

She is also starring in the newest Kevin Smith flick, Cop Out, with Bruce Willis. Check out the trailer and her Complex spread below.

Satan’s Screener Takes on Abduction (2009)

Moronic Mark kicks off season 3 of his crappy movie review show (the movies that he reviews are crappy not that it’s a crappy review show. Moving on!) with a movie review of a film that was sent to him by a fan of the show (Yes, they do exist). He has a small part in the film and does give a good performance as a mentally challenged simpleton who likes dead women’s fingers. So thank you David M Sitbon.

Not So Basic Instincts: Party Line (1988)

I saw most of Party Line waaaaay back in the early 90s when it was first running on late night cable. I didn’t remember much except that Leif Garret wore a wedding dress (!) and people spoke on the phone to each other. Not much to go on, but since I’ve been walking down this lane of fragmented Cinemax memories, I decided to pick up a copy and give it a go.

The Vampire Diaries is Back! Bloodlines

Well after the 2 month hiatus The Vampire Diaries is back and stronger than ever. This has a lot to do with the deviously charming Damon, which should come as no surprise. He’s as funny as ever with his snarky, sexy, sinful allure. This episode is full of laughs when he’s on screen, adding so much life and spark during his scenes. I’m thrilled that now that they’ve established Damon as this dangerous, selfish character, especially in Elena’s eyes that they’re starting to move on by pairing the two with each other for majority of the episode.
