Nick and his friends go to a racetrack for an afternoon of high velocity thrills. The day of fun turns deadly in an instant when a horrible crash causes burning wreckage to fly into the crowd, killing several people. Only moments before the deadly crash, Nick has a strange premonition that shows him in graphic detail exactly who will be dying and how. In a panic, Nick manages to drag his friends and a few other random people who get caught in the fray out of the stadium just before all Hell breaks loose.
The horrified survivors think that the worst is behind them but they are wrong…DEAD wrong. Death doesn’t like being cheated, and decides to take out the people who escaped their destiny in the accident in a variety of spectacularly gruesome ways. Seemingly innocent daily activities such as crossing the street, getting a haircut, or taking a swim all turn deadly. As the body count rises, Nick discovers the secrets of Death’s design and tries to stop the cycle of carnage once and for all.

Michael Myers is back and he brought his mom and her ghost horse! That one sentence pretty much wraps up Rob Zombie’s Halloween II in a neat little package. Zombie’s sequel starts off in familiar territory – Haddonfield Asylum. We flash back to little Mikey having a heart to heart with his momma. Michael tells his mother about a dream he had where she looked like a beautiful ghost and arrived on a white horse to take him home. Then we pick up where Zombie’s Halloween remake left off. Laurie Strode is bloodcaked and screaming murder and Michael Myers is apparently dead.

I know, I know Halloween 2 and The Final Destination are battling it out in theaters and I home posting pictures of Jennifer’s Body. Well the sad part is we posted exclusive Phantasm news, but more people rather look at this crap than read about horror films. I hate to admit it but I need a new crack pipe, and Phantasm does not pay the bills these days..
Now you know why horror websites spend more time talking about Twilight than actual horror movies… Horror fans are just outnumbered!
The Descent was easily the best horror movie of 2005… Blah, blah, blah, you know the rest. Here is the latest trailer, synopsis, and poster for the sequel.
“Shauna Macdonald returns as Sarah, continuing the story of 2005’s horror thriller The Descent, in which a group of young women disappear during a caving trip in the Appalachian Mountains. Emerging from the cave system alone, distraught and covered in the blood of her missing companions, Sarah is incoherent and half-wild with fear. Sceptical about her account of events and convinced Sarah’s psychosis hides far darker secrets, Sheriff Vaines (Gavan O’Herlihy) doesn’t waste time. Along with his partner Rios (Krysten Cummings), and their cave rescue team Dan (Douglas Hodge), Greg (Joshua Dallas), and Cath (Anna Skellern), Vaines forces Sarah back into the caves to help the rescuers find her friends.”

Right on the heels of Rob Zombie’s announcement that he plans to remake The Blob, Hasbro announced their new line of Halloween 2 action figures.
The first action figure will be released a few weeks after the film arrives in theaters, with a new figure being issued every two weeks until the DVD hits store shelves. They plan to have a lot of different versions of Michael Myers, including dolls based on all the pictures Zombie released that “didn’t count” and should have never been released in the first place (Hobo Myers, Not Hobo Myers, and so on…)
Horror Yearbook has an exclusive picture of the first toy from series 1 below — Deborah Myers’ white horse.

I checked the calendar and it is not April 1st.
Rob Zombie (the man who has divided horror fans like no other has before) announced one day before Halloween 2 hit theaters that he plans to remake The Blob.
Variety got the scoop on Zombie’s plans to write, direct and produce a remake of the 1958 horror classic for around $30 million.
Zombie said that this is his attempt to get out of the horror genre by remaking a Sci-Fi film about a thing from outer space, instead of a movie about an iconic killer.

It seems that Dakota Fanning as Jane was not the only New Moon character picture released today. Below we have pictures of all five members of the Volturi: Michael Sheen as Aro, Dakota Fanning as Jane, Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius, Cameron Bright as Alec, and Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus. Plus Chris Weitz’s thoughts on the evil vampire clan, an exclusive picture from an upcoming People magazine AND soundtrack info!

Are you up for another round of Cloverfield guessing games? I’m not! So I’ll just make one prediction and stick with it until the movie is released; Cloverfield 2 will feature a giant monster tearing crap up. And hopefully the people in the sequel will not be as annoying as the people in the first, and in Diarrhea of the Dead.
It is actually quite funny that in most horror films the victims tend to throw away weapons, flashlights and other objects that may help them survive, but these days they refuse to put down their cameras when their lives are in danger. It is all the Interwebs fault, just ask Romero, he will tell ya!
Anyway here is the first viral video for Cloverfield 2.

Backs in January we told you that Zombieland’s Amber Heard had a sex scene in the direct-to-DVD movie The Informers. Wellz we just published some screenshots from the film, and it may be the best sex scene of the year. Why it went direct-to-DVD is beyond me.
Heard was Mandy Lane in All the Boys Love Mandy Lane and is starring in the upcoming Stepfather remake and the Zomedy, Zombieland, in theaters October 2, 2009. Now this is what I call good PR!

The highly awaited sequel in the Vampire Academy series, Blood Promise, has been well worth the wait. This series just keeps on getting better and Blood Promise doesn’t anything back. It takes us in to another world than we are used to. Most of the book is set in Russia, but more importantly it is how close our heroine brushes with death and how the lines of love and monstrosity blur her vision. Yet we are still able to visit parts of that old world, although it’s different, distant, and troubling both for those that inhabit it and those that are so far away from it.

The days are clicking down to The Twilight Saga: New Moon which opens everywhere November 20, 2009. Will it be the highest grossing film of 2009? Only time will tell.
Here is part one of a video interview with “Sarge” from George A. Romero’s new film Survival of the Dead. Sarge explains more about the situation on the zombie infested island.

When Annalynne Mccord is all made-up and photoshopped in a magazine she can be pretty hot. McCord recently appeared in Nylon magazine, the same magazine that Anna Paquin explained to, why she doesn’t mind showing her Tatas in True Blood.
It has also been rumored that the 90210 star may have singed up to appear in her third horror movie, by inking a deal to star in Scream 4 with Courteney Cox and David Arquette. McCord’s horror credits include, The Haunting of Molly Hartley and Day of the Dead both in 2008.

In 2006 Scott Glosserman brought us the mockumentary, Behind the Mask, about an aspiring slasher named Leslie Vernon. Well it seems Vernon is back!
The man behind the mask popped up on Twitter and Facebook recently. So if you’re really bored and lame, you can now follow Vernon’s Tweets about meditating, eating and other random stupid crap.
