1st Pics of Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried From Jennifer’s Body

While I’m sure some people are only going to see Jennifer’s Body because of Megan Fox, I’m only going to see it to watch her struggle to deliver bad, “witty” Diablo Cody dialogue. This movie is definitely the car wreck NOT to miss this year.

Anywhoo, below are some of the first pictures of Fox and Amanda Seyfried from the film. Is it me or are they a bit Carrie-ish?

Jennifer’s Body is in theaters September 18 — 1 week after Sorority Row.

Synopsis:

When a gorgeous cheerleader is possessed by a demon and starts feeding off the boys in a small Minnesota farming town, her “plain Jane” best friend must kill her, then escape from a correctional facility to go after the Satan-worshipping rock band responsible for the horrible transformation.

New Ninja Puppet in Puppet Master: Axis of Evil?

There has been a new puppet spotted in the Puppet Master: Axis of Evil “vidcast” on Charles Band’s YouTube page. I tried to grab some screen shots but they all came out like doo doo, so you should probably just watch the video below. If you jump to around the 2:48 mark you will notice [...]

Grace DVD Info

Horror fans better save their pennies for September, especially Blu-ray fans. According to our Horror on Blu-ray Calendar there are at least 5 or 6 decent horror movies coming to blu-ray that month, including Paul Solet’s Grace.

Grace was produced by Hatchet’s Adam Green, and stars Jordan Ladd, who appeared naked in Club Dread and was also in Eli Roth’s Cabin Fever. It is about a woman who decides to carry her dead baby to term, and when it is born, it comes back to life… With an appetite.

The Women of Sorority Row: Audrina Patridge

Since we now know that 2009′s Sorority Row is sticking with an R-rating the question is who will be naked in the film? We all know that nudes of Audrina Patridge were leaked on the internet last year, and we all are hoping that it isn’t Rumor Willis, so that leaves: Briana Evigan, Leah Pipes, Jamie Chung and Margo Harshman. Unless it is one of the unknowns like, Megan Wolfley, I’m placing my money on that Jamie Chung chick.

I’m also guessing there will be three nude scenes, so that leaves two more guesses. Let us know who you think will be getting nude below in the comments. Whoever gets it right wins 1 Internets.

Guillermo Del Toro’s The Strain (Book Review)

The Strain is a vampire novel brought to us by the collaborative efforts of horror director, Guillermo Del Toro and thriller author, Chuck Hogan. It seems that Del Toro set up the basic idea and possibly certain set ups in the story while Hogan composed the bulk of the work. The book seems to be void of Del Toro’s touch of artistry and meaning even if his basic idea of a vampire apocalypse through an airplane of the infected was promising.

The book is overloaded with countless numbers of stories, but the basic one starts with a plane that lands in New York’s JFK airport with all of the passengers dead. Of course, they aren’t really dead, just undead. The airport officials eventually call epidemiologists, Ephraim and Nora, who are part of the rapid response team. They take many precautions and wait it out quite some time before acting, but once they do they discover that everyone inside the plane appears to be dead and don’t have pulses…

More Hotness From Daybreakers’ Isabel Lucas

Hopefully since Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was such a huge hit we will be seeing a lot more of Isabel Lucas. Seriously I’m getting bored of Megan Fox… Some new blood wouldz be nice.

Lucas is in the upcoming and great looking vampire film, Daybreakers, that also stars Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe. Check out the trailer, synopsis, and gallery of Lucas, to remind you of how hot she really is. Fox better watch out!

Synopsis:

In the year 2019, a plague has transformed most every human into vampires. Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the fractured dominant race plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save humankind.

New Final Destination Poster

Over the course of my worldly travels I have met some interesting people, and one of those people happen to be Unkle Lancifer who runs the wonderful website Kindertrauma. Knowing that I share in his love of the Final Destination franchise, and his twisted sense of humor, he sent me this poster for his Final Destination Marathon, and I just had to share it with our readers.

Michael Welch Talks Jacob Black and Mike Newton Date Scene

Recently New Moon star, Michael Welch, assured Twilight fans that the novel’s “comic relief” scene, where Bella attempts to get over her Edward heartbreak, by going on a date with Jacob Black and Mike Newton, will indeed be in director Chris Weitz’s version. And today he told MTV.com what fictional movie the three teens go to see in the film.

The film is called ‘Face Punch. It’s an action film. We started out with a few other comical names, but it turned out those were actual films so we couldn’t use those titles. I forget the first few titles, but it was like ‘Crazy Explosion’ — and it turns out, there actually was a ‘Crazy Explosion.’ Chris came up with the title. And apparently there is no ‘Face Punch’ that we know of.

More Zombieland Pictures

It is going to be slim pickings for our Top Ten Horror Movies list this year, but one movie that shows promise is the zombie/comedy Zombieland. Will it be joining this year’s other great zombie flick Dead Snow? We will have to wait until October 9 to find out.

Until then you can watch the trailer here, and check out some new pictures — that originally appeared on Shootforthehead.com — below.

It Came From The Mailbox: The Last Battleground!

Gory greetings horroryearbook alumni! Welcome to another exciting edition of IT CAME FROM THE MAILBOX, a column where your old pal Brain Hammer reviews whatever random crap the good folks at horroryearbook decide to throw my way.

Actually, the good folks (folk?) at horroryearbook had nothing to do with this one. This time around I was contacted directly by my chum Sonny Fernandez. Sonny should a familiar name to anyone who spends quality time on this fine website. Sonny is non other than the hardworking mastermind behind Down Twisted Studios. I’ve already reviewed four of his past efforts in previous ICFTMB columns. You can check out those reviews here and here.

First Review of Dario Argento’s Giallo

Retroslashers just published one of the first reviews of Dario Argento’s latest film, Giallo, which you can check out here. You actually didn’t think we had the “first” review did you? That would require effort, a foreign word to Horror Yearbook and its staff.

The film was written by Jim Agnew, who brought us the very underrated Soulkeeper, and Sean Keller. It stars Adrien Brody, Emmanuelle Seigner, Elsa Pataky, and Robert Miano, and obviously it was directed by Dario Argento.

Satan’s Screener Takes on TAKIN’ IT ALL OFF

Starring: Kitten Natividad (SUPERVIXENS), Jean Poremba (aka porn star Candie Evans and former wife to American Gladiator, Lazer), George “Buck” Flower (THEY LIVE and THE WILDERNESS FAMILY) and Gail Harris (SORORITY HOUSE MASSACRE II, HARD TO DIE, and CELLBLOCK SISTERS: BANISHED BEHIND BARS)

Well, Mark’s hard work has finally paid off. He gets to revisit a movie he loves filled with plenty of T and A (and bush too). The movie’s still terrible with juvenile humor, cartoon sound effects, a theme sound repeated 10 times that only has 3 words in it, but it harkens back to a time when Cinemax After Dark movies weren’t all bored rich housewives who become prostitues and get screwed in the navel by dudes in badly orchestrated simulated sex scenes movies.

Richard Kelly’s BOX (lol) Trailer!

Last night 2Snaps.tv and HYB movie expert Jerry Dennis told me The Box is the horror movie to look forward too in 2009. After watching the trailer I’m not sure if it is really a horror movie or not, but it does look like a film horror fans will not want to miss. Directed by Richard Kelly who brought us Donnie Darko and Southland Tales, The Box will be in theaters October 30, 2009.

“Norma and Arthur Lewis are a suburban couple with a young child who receive an anonymous gift bearing fatal and irrevocable consequences. A simple wooden box, it promises to deliver its owner $1 million with the press of a button. However, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world…someone they don’t know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their possession, Norma and Arthur find themselves in the crosshairs of a startling moral dilemma and face the true nature of their humanity.”

Daybreakers Trailer

The trailer for Daybreakers looks pretty damn good. Too bad we have to wait until January 8, 2010 for it to hit theaters. It was written and directed by The Spierig Brothers (Undead) and it stars Willem Dafoe, Ethan Hawke and Isabel Lucas, who really upstaged Megan Fox in Transformers 2.

“Edward Dalton is a researcher in the year 2019, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world’s population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.”
