The publishing, movie and music industry all have been desperately trying to figure out how to use the internet to their benefit for years, but sometimes it seems that it has cost them more than it has helped them. Recently Kevin Cogill was arrested for leaking the new Guns N’ Roses album online and now author, Stephanie Meyer of the bestselling Twilight books, is so upset that the latest Twilight book, Midnight Sun was leaked online, she told MTV: “for all intents and purposes, Breaking Dawn is the last book.”

The network who brought us Todd Mcfarlane’s very dark, Spawn and the violent Rome, has passed on turning Garth Ennis’ comic book, Preacher into a one-hour series because it is too dark and violent.

Its Labor Day weekend and everyone is at the beach or something, because I can hear crickets on the internet. So here is a not-so-exciting picture of Paris Hilton from Darren Lynn Bousman’s Repo! The Genetic Opera.

It’s the war to settle the score! This explosive feud ignited when I stumbled across some less then flattering reviews of one of my all time favorite flicks, the 1984 Charles E. Sellier Jr. classic - SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT! I’d like to throw down with these chumps triple threat style with a terrible trio of SNDN reviews.
Check out a pissworthy write up from the Onion AV Club, a classic pissed off review from Siskel & Ebert, and the deranged ramblings of yours truly. I’ll let anyone who has the GUTS to make their way through this holiday holocaust decide which review is the winner.

Twilight fans can relax, even though Summit has decided to “tweak” the Twilight film by shooting extra scenes, it will not effect the planned, November 21, 2008 release date.
The new scenes also have nothing to do with the movie sucking, Peter Facinelli told MTV: “They liked it so much, they are bringing us back for some encore time - to beef it up,” but what do the new scenes involve?

I enjoy the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic book, but I much rather have had, Buffy the Animated Series. It blows my mind that with what seems like a billion TV networks these days, Joss Whedon and co-creator Jeph Loeb couldn’t find it a home. There was even a stupid The Mummy: The Animated Series. How long did that last?

Every time I publish Saw V news it reminds me of something Jerry Dennis said in his Saw IV review:
Although at the end of [Saw IV], one kid shouted out, ‘there better not be a Saw V.’ I did not have the heart to tell him that five and six are already in the pipeline.”
Saw V news always makes me think of that kid. Anyway here is another trailer for the newest Saw movie, out in theaters on October 24th.

I have no idea why I was surprised that Rue Morgue Magazine reported that French filmmakers, Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Mauryare are officially attached to make Halloween 2. Its a no brainer since Rob Zombie’s Halloween made so much money.
Dimension, who owns the rights to the Halloween franchise, released their last horror film, Inside under their Dimension Extreme label. The directors were also attached to remake Hellraiser (another Dimension property) but that fell through according to Esplatter.com.
Mauryare said that making Halloween 2 was, “a proposition we couldn’t refuse.”
Top Cow Productions, Inc. announced it will publish the first, complete story arc of William Harms’ Impaler in a new trade paperback that will debut this October, and then will launch a new series for the property in December.

I was just talking about chasing rumors and bullshit news on, HMFRadio last night, but this one is true as far as I can see.
Director William Lustig spoke to the crowd at the Anthology Film Archives screening of Maniac Cop:
Lustig said: “Larry (Cohen) and I have gotten the sequel rights back for MANIAC COP, and we’re preparing to do a MANIAC COP 4. I don’t have any more details other than that; this all happened within the last month, so it’s so fresh… When I get back to Los Angeles, Larry and I are going to sit down and work on something.”

This time Moronic Mark takes on the classic horror/comedy title (but horrible flick), MICROWAVE MASSACRE and wonders how movie can deliver the promises of it’s title without any blood. At least, there’s plenty of boobs even though that’s not mentioned in the title. He also takes on Hulk Hogan(’s sandwich) and Frosty the Snowman gone wild.
