I was starting to get nervous, we were halfway through 2008 and had no candidates for Asshole of the Year! I would have gladly awarded Matthew Pletcher the honor every year, but that could have gotten a little boring. I just feel bad for Amanda Righetti, as I did Death Walks the Streets, because like DWTS it is not her fault she chose poorly and got wrapped up with an asshole who is giving her a bad name.
First of all I would like to make it clear that Righetti nor her legal team have contacted me on this matter. From how I see it, some dickwad named, Calvin Luttrell has appointed himself her “keeper” and has been making threats to HorrorYearbook on her behalf. Calvin has a bug up his ass because we talked about Amanda Righetti appearing nude in the movie, Angel Blade. Calvin also claims that, “Amanda’s husband asked me to provide the good bloggers with exclusive accurate information and access to Amanda.”
However, I doubt Amanda’s husband wanted Calvin to harass bloggers by threatening to report them to Google, bother their advertisers and try to get them removed from the web. Horror Yearbook is a celebration of horror films and one of the aspects of horror films we love to celebrate is nudity and the women who are brave enough to act in our genre. If Amanda has a problem with us bringing up these topics she should have never agreed to appear in the film Friday the 13th, which is famous for teen nudity and mindless bloodshed. Why Calvin thinks it is his responsibility to save Amanda from “bad bloggers” is beyond me. Unfortunately for Calvin he chose the wrong blog to fuck with, because like so many before him have learned, HYB has nothing to lose, does not care and our reputation is lower than low. So Calvin do your worst and like all our enemies I wish you a bad case of herpes and AIDS in the future.

Lets face it ever since the naked Megan Fox pictures from the set of Jennifer’s Body were leaked, it became more her movie rather than Oscar winner Diablo Cody (See Naked Here). You can see the poster for the film after the jump. They are looking at a 2009 release date synopsis follows, blah, blah, blah!

I think the Twilight movie is based on some tween vampire book, and the film is going to be tween marketed also. So it probably doesn’t belong on Horror Yearbook, but we can be teen and preteen friendly, as long as they do not look at all the nudity on the site. We have even included a parents guide (that we stole from IMDB.com) below.

I am assuming these pictures are from that Zombie Strippers movie Jenna Jameson starred in. The reason I am publishing them is because its sad that she looks better drenched in blood than she does in real life. If you didn’t know Jenna aged badly, removed her breast implants and looks like a tranny hooker. Oh yeah and her lips look like someone blew them up with a bicycle pump.

They have made two Jack Ketchum books into films, first the excellent The Girl Next Door and then The Lost, but neither of them were 100% horror. Horror fans have been waiting for them to get around to making Offspring and that time is finally here.
The studio who brought you The Girl Next Door is currently working on bringing Offspring to the big screen. The screenplay was written by Jack Ketchum himself, and it will be directed by Andrew van den Houten (Headspace).

Back in June our Press Release Robot reported about the new VH1 Scream Queen reality TV show. Where the winner of the show gets to appear in a Lionsgate film, and it looks like that film may be Saw 6.

No one has really been paying much attention to the Night of the Demons remake (or we haven’t been), but now it has got a little more interesting with the addition of Tiffany Shepis. Shepis joins director Adam Gierasch’s remake along with Bobbi Sue Luther, Shannon Elizabeth, Diora Baird and Monica Keena. Shannon Elizabeth is supposed to be playing Angela, and maybe they will continue to be smart and have Linnea Quigley play the old woman in the beginning.
The Ruins is an adaptation of a novel, directed by the original author, Scott. B. Smith. They both have the same basic story outline, but the movie does have a few differences. The main is that the characters; most of what happened to a given character in the book happens to a different character in the movie. Besides that it is pretty minor, but loyal fans of the book might still have problems. For those who haven’t read it though, there aren’t too many problems to be found with the movie.
Lockheart Filmes Ltda. presents the first full trailer (Watch Trailer Here) of the independent Brazilian horror-fantasy BEYOND THE GRAVE (aka PORTO DOS MORTOS). The preview of the feature film can be viewed at the official website www.beyondthegravemovie.com. Written and directed by Davi de Oliveira Pinheiro (who’s also producing with Isidoro B. Guggiana), BEYOND THE GRAVE follows the unstoppable hunt of the vengeful cop Lockheart (Rafael Tombini) for Adam, a supernatural serial killer. The film is currently in post-production and looking for international distribution.

I am so glad the San Diego Comic-Con is over because, like every year, I am sick of reporting on it. However if you are quick you can watch the Friday the 13th clip (below) that premiered at the Comic-Con, but my guess is it will eventually be pulled. Geeks of Doom have just reported that at the 2008 San Diego Comic-Con, Sam Raimi stated he is interested in making Evil Dead 4 with Bruce Campbell.
Raimi said: “I love working with Bruce Campbell and he’s like Allison [Lohman, star of Raimi’s Drag Me To Hell]. He’s super willing to do anything to make it right. He’s a very funny guy, but mostly he’s got this quality where he will physically do anything to get the shot done right, so I would love to work with Bruce again because I’d love to test those limits. I’d love to make another Evil Dead picture. And actually that’s in the wheelhouse. I’d like to work on it with my brother Ivan [Raimi] when he comes up next week.“

After 6 years the X-Files is back, hitting the big screens after 9 seasons of being on the air (7 of those which were actually good). Who wouldn’t want to believe that after more than half a decade Mulder and Scully hadn’t worn out their welcome, and that X Files faithful would welcome them back with open arms, ready to tackle aliens, government conspiracies, cigarette smoking octogenarians, black oil, abductions and whatever creator Chris Carter and his crew cranked out? It’s been said that The X-Files was one of the most cinematic shows ever put on television, and having been a casual fan in the late 90’s, I’d have to agree.

If you are a regular visitor to Horror Yearbook then you know one of our main features is a section called Classic Horror Titties. If you are not a regular visitor then you now know why you should be. Back when they started announcing the cast for the Friday the 13th remake, one of the first actresses they announced as the “lead” was Amanda Righetti. Our resident titty expert, Chris Cooper realized she was in a little known movie called, Angel Blade where she appeared naked.
