This is a bit strange considering all the negative publicity surrounding Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN. Apparently, Dimension signed Zombie to a two-picture deal as they were so happy with the final result of his latest film.
Obsessed with Film reported that Kevin Smith is finally done with the RED STATE horror screenplay we heard about months ago.

This is the time in my life where people my age are looking for their little red wagon. When things we loved as kids come back into style. Transformers, Halloween and so on are being made into films or even worse re-made, but why can’t some of our favorite cult films get some damn sequels?
The watered-down, crappy, direct to DVD horror market is not smart enough to give us films like Slime City 2 or Street Trash 2…

Well, for starters, it’s called Alien Pig Farm 3000, and it takes place in Kentucky. Yeah so? Yeah, so it also has a man named Johnny Ray, whom is in love with his sister, runs moonshine with his brother Elvis, across county line, and says the word “Cain’t” about twenty times. So, yeah, let’s make that totally clear here: This is a comic book with aliens and rednecks in it. And it’s damn funny too!

It seems like a lot of horror fans have the knives out for this one so to speak. Leslie is famous for playing Sgt. Callahan in the POLICE ACADEMY series and most recently being in horror films like THE DEVILS REJECTS. In Part 1 of the interview, Leslie talks about her roles as strong women, mentoring young girls in real life, a betrayal during the making of PRIVATE RESORT, and the proposed POLICE ACADEMY 8.
Is Bruce Campbell getting a bit controlling in his old age? We first learned that he quit Bubba Nosferatu (Read Here) and now Horror-Movies.ca has learned that Bruce thinks a Freddy/Jason/Ash movie would blow. Which he is probably 100% correct about.
“[BUBBA NOSFERATU] is dead to me. It sleeps with the fishes. Don Coscarelli is a very passionate filmmaker. We got to a few points [developing the screenplay] that we couldn’t reconcile. I want to keep our friendship, so we parted ways. So I’m not part of that project.”
