Instead of sending the “Death Walks the Street” people into hiding, we should of been telling you that Eli Roth’s trailer for Grindhouse can be seen here.
Roth says “I just found out that Dimension released ‘Thanksgiving’ online!”
“It’s kind of crappy quality, but hey, it’s ‘Grindhouse’ so it’s not supposed to look pristine.”
So what are you waiting for, go watch it!

Wow, for a movie no one has seen one second of, DWTS sure has one of the most dedicated fan followings ever. Today we recieved this E-mail from one of the fake or paid off fans of DWTS. I would like to note that in the entire history of Horror Yearbook we have never recieved one complaint from a “fan,” and we have done more then enough to warrant a few comaplints in our time…
Hell, I am beginning to wonder if this highly anticipated movie actually exists. Normally, independent filmmakers upload multiple trailers onto their MySpace pages and cover their page with photos from shoots. But has anyone ever seen a still shot taken from the DWTS movie set? Can you find any footage online? How about just a single trailer? Nope. But I did see plenty of “fans” aka “Death Walkers” plastered all over their MySpace Page wearing DWTS merchandise…
“Wicked Little Things” was part of the After Dark Horrorfest “8 Films to Die For” that were shown for one week in select theaters all over the country. It was a cool idea that garnered enough revenue for them to try it again this year. While I applaud anyone’s attempt to try and get more people to see independent horror films (especially on the big screen), some of the movies just shouldn’t have made the cut. “Wicked Little Things” was easily the worst of the eight and should have been passed over for a number of better films…
TURISTAS is the movie many were afraid HOSTEL was gonna be. Straight up xenophobia and misogyny without a brain in its head. Where does the plot of a horror movie end and Darwinism begin? The natural order dictates these people must–MUST–die. No wonder the Brazilian locals are pissed at our heroes…
At first “Penny Dreadful” is a fun romp that refuses to take itself too seriously, with silly incidents involving the weirdo hitchhiker and Penny’s flashbacks to her parent’s death. The film starts off as an entertaining, albeit formulaic slasher vehicle (no pun intended). But around the middle of the second act, the movie starts to take itself way too seriously, and the different tone never plays out correctly

The somewhat controversial, oft copied ISLAND OF THE DAMNED (1976) is finally being released in the US on DVD by Dark Sky Films. Dark Sky may just be the place to give it the glorious release it deserves…
HorrorYearbook.com was very green in the gills when After Dark launched. So to try and catch us up, our writer Tyler Shainline has gave us his take on the ones we missed.

But my fears of the animated Richter Belmont being turned into a fagulous live action hero have subsided….Anderson is OFF the project!

Wow! OMG! It’s only March and things are just crazy here at Horror Yearbook! First, listen to me (WIL) mumble on DeadPit.com. I have the nerve to joke about how they talk, and I can’t understand a damn thing I said on the show myself…

Horror Yearbook LOVES to support local (or not) independent filmmakers, authors or anyone trying to get their foot in the door. Not everyone can kick it down and act like asses like we did. Here are three film festivals looking for people to submit films. Not a diretcor? No problem! These festivals are also looking for people to attend, so make sure and check them out to.

Ok, apparently Los Angeles has been conquered by the Communists. Today these oppressive pansies.. yes, pansies, scored a minor victory today in having the 30 billboards of Elisha Cuthbert’s latest movie, Lionsgate/After Dark Films’ Captivy removed….
