Interview: Insan0 – Say You Love Satan

[Editor's Note: In the ultimate act of laziness and in an effort to quickly update the site, I did not edit Insan0's typed answers. They appear exactly as he sent them to us, and perhaps that is the way he wanted them to appear in the first place.]

It’s should be no secret to horroryearbook alumni that your old pal Brain Hammer loves Satan. I say it all the time. Any of friend of the Devil is a friend of mine…and one of my more interesting myspace friends is an INSANELY talented and demented motherfucker named insan0. insan0 is blowing the fuck up out of the underground with his unique brand of “Ultra Psychopathic Snuff Serial Killer Horrorcore Brutal Evil Extreme Satanic Death Murder Music.”

On Halloween Night 2009, insan0 dropped a brand new ep titled SAY YOU LOVE SATAN. This 3 track ep was created specifically for the true crime/murder music enthusiasts. SAY YOU LOVE SATAN is inspired by true events – a violent murder that occurred in Northport, New York back in 1984. Ricky Kasso (RIP) was THE ACID KING. He supplied the town of Northport with all the doses, dope, and dust they needed, and then some. Gary Lauwers was a scumbag who made the fatal mistake of ripping off the Acid King and he paid with his young life. Ricky, along with his evil disciples Jimmy and Albert invited Gary out for a night of fun in Azteka Woods, and then butchered him as a sacrifice to SATAN.

What follows is a classic battle between good and evil as the three kids struggle to overcome a nightmarish hell that is literally taking over the Earth.

The Brain Hammer review of ZOMBIELAND!!!

The haphazard ingestion of a burger ridden with mad cow disease quickly leads to an epidemic of mad people disease and then the inevitable zombie apocalypse. A rather pathetic little loser (Jesse Eisenberg) known only as Columbus (named after his home town) narrates the entire film as he attempts to make his way back home to his estranged family who live across the country. Columbus has managed to survive the zombie outbreak by staying alone; something he had done long before the zombies arrived. He also sticks to a rigid set of rules that assure his safety and survival. His rules include cardio, always checking the backseat, and perhaps most importantly – the “tap tap.” Never tap a zombie to see if it’s dead, just shoot it again.

The Brain Hammer review of SORORITY ROW (2009)

The girls of Theta Pi. Some will live…most will die. SORORITY ROW begins full swing in the middle of the annual Theta Pi sorority freshman pledge night. I immediately began feeling punch drunk myself from the chaotic camera work and rapid fire MTV styled editing. Then things get grounded in more familiar slasher film territory – an elaborate meanspirted prank that backfires in a big way and turns deadly. This time around the prank involves roofies, a faked overdose, and the sheer hilarity of dead body disposal. The fun is short lived and the male victim of the prank freaks out for real and plunges a tire iron into the chest of his supposedly dead lover.

The girls promptly panic and begin arguing about what to do. The head bitch in charge of the prank has her own future in mind and decides that dumping her sorority sister’s dead body down an abandoned well is the best solution. There’s an entire side plot about this bitch trying to impress the evil and powerful father of her boyfriend, but it exists only to stretch the running time and eventually fades out like a dying rat. Anyways, the girls dump the body and everybody makes the promise to keep their mouths shut.

It Came From The Mailbox: Drifter: Henry Lee Lucas & Night Stalker

Barnholtz Entertainment was nice enough to send along a screener copy of DRIFTER: HENRY LEE LUCAS – the latest direct to dvd serial killer epic from writer/director Michael Feifer. Feifer has been a busy man in the last few years, cranking out a string of grisly straight to dvd serial killer bio-pics including Chicago Massacre: Richard Speck, Ed Gein: Butcher Of Plainfield, Boston Strangler: The Untold Story, B.T.K., and Ted Bundy: Legacy Of Evil. You can check out my review of Ted Bundy: Legacy Of Evil here.

The Brain Hammer review of THE FINAL DESTINATION!

Nick and his friends go to a racetrack for an afternoon of high velocity thrills. The day of fun turns deadly in an instant when a horrible crash causes burning wreckage to fly into the crowd, killing several people. Only moments before the deadly crash, Nick has a strange premonition that shows him in graphic detail exactly who will be dying and how. In a panic, Nick manages to drag his friends and a few other random people who get caught in the fray out of the stadium just before all Hell breaks loose.

The Brain Hammer review of Rob Zombie’s Halloween II!

Michael Myers is back and he brought his mom and her ghost horse! That one sentence pretty much wraps up Rob Zombie’s Halloween II in a neat little package. Zombie’s sequel starts off in familiar territory – Haddonfield Asylum. We flash back to little Mikey having a heart to heart with his momma. Michael tells his mother about a dream he had where she looked like a beautiful ghost and arrived on a white horse to take him home. Then we pick up where Zombie’s Halloween remake left off. Laurie Strode is bloodcaked and screaming murder and Michael Myers is apparently dead.
