Horror-Movies.ca got their hands on the casting news for Wrong Turn 3. It will star: Janet Montgomery, Tamer Hassan, Chucky Venice, Mac McDonald, Jake Curran, Mike Straub, Tom Frederic, Gil Kolirin and Tom Mackey. You probably don’t recognize most of them because there is nothing to recognize them from. The writer of Harpies, Declan O’Brien will direct.
The third Wrong Turn will follow the mutant, Three Finger. No word on if he will be the only one or not, but the plot will follow the same formula as the first two…Teenagers go into the woods and the killing begins…

2008 may be the year of the zombie; there was George Romero’s Diary of the Dead, Poultrygeist, mentally challenged zombies and now Ninja Zombies!

We were just talking about Killer Reptile movies on our message board, and then I stumbled over the cover art for Tara Reid’s new movie Vipers. How quick can you put it on your Netflix que? I got it on mine in 30 seconds, but you will have to wait until September 23 to see it, but good things come to those who wait.

If there is one thing I am sure of, it is that the Red Cross doesn’t want my alcohol-thinned, disease-infested blood, but maybe they will still take yours. Here is yet again another — Saw V Blood Drive poster.

I don’t know how I missed this but Horrormovies.ca reported on Aug 13, that the new horror/comedy Jennifer’s Body did have a Megan Fox nude scene, but they CUT IT!

A new Leprechaun movie is way overdue, and talk about the Lep going back to the old West is stupid. After the great Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood a Leprechaun western would be a step backwards, the only thing that could raise the franchise to “classic” status is if they make: 1) Leprechaun: The Musical or 2) Leprechaun vs Wishmaster.

I have been getting these disturbing letters in the mail; First was a missing poster for the Scream Queen Tiffany Shepis. Next was one of those cut-out-letters that read “If you want to see Tiffany Shepis alive…” and last was a handwritten fan letter splattered with blood (see below). At first I thought they were being sent by Eric Morse (Sorry inside joke), but they really are just a cute marketing campaign for the new movie Zombthology.

Personally I could care less about another Evil Dead movie. Evil Dead and Bruce Campbell fans are lame and annoying, but I know a lot of horror fans would be much happier with a fourth movie, instead of a remake.
However all these talks about it are starting to be a bit of a bore. They’re making it, they’re not, someone thought about making it, someone’s brother of somebody somewhere did something, blah, blah, blah. Just wake me up when they are actually shooting it.

Twilight fans should be excited to know that they will be able to see Twilight the movie a little earlier this year; Summit Entertainment has bumped the release date up from December, 12, 2008 to November 21, 2008 for North America.

The new vampire film based on Stephenie Meyer’s books, Twilight is not going to be any Lost Boys 2: The Tribe that is for sure. Everything that has been released (including these three new pictures) have been pretty tame. (Watch Trailer Here). The books are more for the tween crowd, kind of like that Blood and Chocolate movie that came out a few years ago. I, for one, am glad that the tween crowd has their own brand of horror films, maybe they can stop ruining good slasher films like Prom Night now.

The Friday the 13th Blog got some details about the new Friday the 13th DVD set from Paramount.
“The studio will only be re-issuing the first three films to tie in with the new movie. There will, however, be new extras. No word on any uncut or 3-D versions of the films.”
So once again Paramount drops the ball on delivering a full-kick-ass boxset, and looks to cash in a little more on the movie franchise they love to hate. However as the blog points out, maybe only releasing three movies will allow them to take a little more time and care on them, hopefully giving us better extras.

One way to jump to Scream Queen status is to be the daughter of someone like, Klaus Kinski. Another way is to appear naked in the Hammer Film Productions’ horror film To the Devil a Daughter while you were still underage. While that may not be Nastassja’s only claim to fame, it sure made her notorious.

One of the best made for TV horror movies, Dark Night of the Scarecrow (See Our Top Ten Made for TV Horror Movies List) is finally getting a DVD release! HMF Radio broke the news that writer, J.D. Feigelson is currently working on the DVD to be released in 2009.
Dark Night of the Scarecrow is one of the most elusive horror movies on VHS, costing up to $50 online, or at horror movie conventions. This is probably the second most exciting horror DVD news of 2008, since it was announced that Pieces was getting a proper DVD release.
