Movie Review - Evil Aliens (2006) - A Second Opinion

Jake West’s “Evil Aliens” is one of the most entertaining movies I have seen all year. It is pure fun from start to finish. There is no pretense, no “social commentary,” no “to hip for the room in-jokes.” It is simply a non-stop roller coaster of blood and guts.
One of the many things I loved about this film was the simplicity of the story. West apparently felt no need to muddle his script with complicated reasons for the alien carnage. They just do, and that is good enough for me.

The characters are hilarious and actually likeable, despite the reasons one might have to root against them. They are flawed and selfish and a whole lot of fun.
The death scenes are gruesome in the best possible way. I have never laughed so many times watching someone get decapitated. In fact, there are so many cool moments if I was going to list them all I might as well re-write the script.
I sat down expecting a movie I would enjoy and walked away with a movie I loved. I highly recommend this movie to anyone looking for a night of genuine entertainment.
