The Vampires of Bloody Island is set to arrive on DVD January 25th in the UK and on February the 1st in the US. The low-budget independent vampire comedy harks back to the style and nostalgia of the British Hammer vampire movies of the 1970′s. Filled to it’s rotting rafters with creepy comical characters and plenty of exploding vampires, it’s a laugh-packed send up of every vampire film you’ve ever loved.
First time director Allin Kempthorne; “We’ve really taken the whole nostalgic Hammer Studios style of vampire film, with that charmingly English creepy feel, and piled on lashes of humour and special effects. The result is a really funny film filled with creepy characters and stunning locations that people want to watch again and again!”

I watched this film last night. Oh my God, does this have the makings of a cult movie or what? It looks like it was made a little on the cheap, on about the level of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, with the same sort of wild and witty humour too. Hell yeah, we’re gonna here a lot more about this one over the coming months I’m sure!
Bloody Island? Bloody love it! Budget 4/10, Story 9/10, Special FX: 5/10, Watchability: 10/10, worth buying? 10/10
