Actress Zelda Rubinstein Heads Towards the Light

According to RadarOnline.com actress Zelda Rubinstein has been taken off life support at the Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles — where she has been for over a month after her lungs and kidneys failed.

A friend of Zelda’s told the website “It’s only a matter of time now – she doesn’t have long to live.”

The four-foot tall actress will always be known to horror fans as “Tangina” from the Poltergeist films (and one of the few survivors of the “Poltergeist Curse.” Craig T. Nelson you’re sooo next!), and for her appearance (one of her last) in Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon.

Other memorable films include; Teen Witch, Sixteen Candles, and The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw. Zelda Rubinstein is was 76-years old.

What an awful way to end 2009! :(

    Zelda also starred in the “movie within a movie” slasher flick ANGUISH.

    Good Call Hammer, Anguish is a fucking great film!! Nobody knows about it either??
