UPDATE: Primeval gets an earlier release date (Read About it Here
A few weeks back we posted news about the movie ‘Primeval’ (READ HERE), which claims to be “Inspired by the True Story of the Most Prolific Serial Killer in History.” That serial killer turned out to be a killer crocodile in Africa who locals named ‘Gustave,’ not what most people were thinking. So who is Gustave and is he really real?
We’ll let you be the judge as Horror Yearbook searches for Gustave the Killer Croc…
Have You Seen This Croc?
“A cold-blooded killer is on the loose. His name is Gustave. He’s 20 feet long (six meters), weighs 2,000 pounds (907 kilograms), and stands accused of devouring hundreds of people. WRITER MICHAEL MCRAE travels to war-torn Burundi to confront the man-eater.”
Burundi’s not so gentle giant!
“Gustave is being feted in Burundi as possibly Africa’s largest crocodile. Some are even saying he could be one of the world’s biggest fresh water crocodiles.
The reptile, people are guessing could be as long as six metres and as heavy as a tonne, which, even allowing for exaggeration, would have him rivalling some of the largest saltwater crocodiles recorded.”

”Gustave is real,” said Patrice Faye, 50, a French environmentalist who has worked in Burundi for more than 20 years. ”I’ve seen him. I’ve seen three different people in his jaws.”
Lyons Press released a book about Gustave and other killer reptiles. You can find it HERE
