Scream Queens Season Two Why!?!

Scream Queens may be one of the worst reality TV shows ever! First of all striving to be a “Scream Queen” is career suicide. Just ask season one winner Tanedra Howard, who is now stuck acting in a dying Saw franchise with nowhere to go. I can’t imagine being the winner of a reality TV show really opens many doors for an actress, especially a crappy one on VH1.

As a horror and reality TV show fan I can say Scream Queens is a dumb idea, and I’m surprised they’re bringing it back. However, since they have decided to give it a second season that must mean someone is watching it, but the fans of the show are going to have to watch it without judge James Gunn.

Gunn announced on his website he would not be returning for the second season.

Timing is everything. And in this instance, timing sucks. My movie Super has been greenlit and is about to go into production at the exact same time season two of my VH1 reality show Scream Queens is going into production. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to choose one or the other, and my actual film career must come before my reality show film career.”

“I will continue to stand by and support Scream Queens. We’re figuring a few ways I can continue to be involved. I couldn’t have more love and respect for the producers, Joke and Biagio, and the folks at VH1. It’s been a great collaboration, with great people at every stage of production.”

One would think that Gunn was just using a “scheduling conflict” as a nice way to say he was “quitting this lame shit,” but he did say he would return for season three if possible.

Isn\’t half the fun of watching 80\’s slasher movies seeing now-famous actors and actresses in their early, small, stupid roles? Also, this was one of my favorite reality shows, because it was based on an actual skill, and not someones fake conception of love or the ability to stop acting like a tool.
