Hello - Stupid comment really - obviously you haven't bothered to read the book. New Moon is depressing because Edward leaves Bella, and she's sooooo depressed, pretty much suicidal, hence the depressing tunes, but great all the same. It would have been a bit strange to write happy tracks to a sad story. And, no - Twilight fans don't like to be sad and depressed, that's why we probably all flicked through the pages of New Moon to see if, and when, Edward would reappear. Der!
