I’m surprised more low budget filmmakers have not figured out the possible benefits of using adult film star Joanna Angel in their films. The Punk Princess of Porn could potentially be one of the best crossover stars for the horror genre. She is the star of the horror/porn films Re-Penetrator and The XXXorcist, and she embodies a lot of the underground culture that is popular with the genre’s fans. With a lack of quality modern Scream Queens these days, I can think of no one better to fill the void than Joanna Angel herself.

It is also not surprising that “director” Shane Ryan was smart enough to cast Joanna Angel in his latest film, Warning!!! Pedophile Released — even if it is a small part. The man is not known for making quality movies, but is slowly becoming notorious for making cheap, low budget exploitable garbage, that earn profits on shock tactics alone. His newest marketing ploy has even stooped so low it has unwillingly dragged childstar Dakota Fanning into the mix.

Alter Ego Cinema plans to premiere Warning with a short film Fanning shot back in 2001 called Father Xmas, an obvious publicity stunt to try and capture the attention of Fanning’s creepy cult like followers… A potentially dangerous and controversial mix. It will be interesting to see if Alter Ego’s plan results in a negative but profitable buzz, or if will backfire resulting in the rioting of hundreds of fat, unmarried women, who used to collect Beanie Babies. A little advice; You shouldn’t screw with Dakota fans!
