Grotesque’s Trailer will Gross You Out

The Japanese have always had a sick, deranged side to them. They’re big on puke porn and all those game shows I don’t understand half the time. Anyway, they don’t stop that train when it comes to the film Grotesque. This basically looks and feels like Hostel but 100 times more brutal. I’m not real sure of the plot; it doesn’t seem to really have one. From the trailer, it is just people being butchered out of what it seems either amusement or learning from some kind of grisly anatomy class.

The Japanese splatter film has been banned in Britain; they say it will cause much harm to those who view it. Whatever. Brits don’t know jack. If you need a plot, this is all I could conjur and its from Wiki so I don’t know how reliable it is, “a young couple (played by Tsugumi Nagasawa and Hiroaki Kawatsure) are snatched off the street and wake up shackled in a basement. With no explanation, a sadistic madman (played by Shigeo Ōsako) degrades, tortures and mutilates them. As the torture progresses, it is revealed he is simply doing this for sexual stimulation, and that he wants the two to survive.” Trailer is after the jump.

More MBV 3D Crew on Halloween 3D

It seems like the whole My Bloody Valentine 3D crew is now working on Halloween 3D as Shocktillyoudrop.com has learned that FX guru Gary Tunnicliffe was called by director Lussier himself to tackle the job. He began working on the project until the Weinsteins pulled the plug on project for now until Lussier finishes Drive Angry.

Gary Tunnicliffe, along with MBV 3D, has also done effects on Halloween: Resurrection and Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers so the guy has a track record with the franchise. I can’t say it is a good one but Michael looked good enough and I think that is why Tunnicliffe was called in.

Sinister Cheryl’s Bust!

Okay, the title is misleading because it isn’t boobs but an actual character bust from the Sam Raimi The Evil Dead film. It is of Cheryl, Ellen Sandweiss’s character, as she has fully turned into a Candarian Demon.

The overall finished result is … well … perfect. It has remarkable detail and it is a pretty nice size bust. This is a collaborated work between Chris Kuneman and Monte Ward, who don’t even work together. The Kuneman bust came without a decent enough paint job so it was sent to Ward for the right fixings. Both, in my opinion, would get an A in art class…

Predators to Hunt Jason!

I might have forgotten to add this actor when I did that big update for the cast of Predators. Derek Mears, the man who brought Jason Voorhees back onto the big screen in the Friday the 13th remake, has joined the cast. A fierce addition I must add.

Derek Mears joins Adrien Brody, Danny Trejo, Alice Braga, Oleg Taktarov, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, and Louiz Ozawa for the Nimrod Antal and Robert Rodriguez film. There are also rumors that Topher Grace is in talks for a role as well.
