Platinum Dunes Signs Deal With Paramount Pictures

Washed-up music video directors rejoice! Platinum Dunes plans on having more work for you in the future! According to Variety Michael Bay has teamed up his production company with Paramount Pictures.

This gives “producers” Brad Fuller and Andrew Form the chance to prove that they can actually “produce” something original for once. First up for the dynamic duo; The Butcherhouse Chronicles, a thriller written by Stephen Susco who “wrote” the Sarah Michelle Gellar fartfest The Grudge — and by “wrote” I mean re-wrote Ju-On.

The movie is being described as “The Breakfast Club in a haunted house.” Jesus they couldn’t even come up with a description for their own film without ripping off John Hughes.

Bay also revealed the secret to Platinum Dunes’ success:

1. Steal someone else’s idea
2. “Re-imagine” it for cheap
3. ???
4. Profit
