Cry Little Sister Remade for True Blood

I’m on this True Blood kick tonight…

Anyway, G Tom Mac (aka Gerard McMann), the artist responsible for the memorizing track ‘Cry Little Sister’ from 1987 beach immortal vampire film The Lost Boys, has remade his legendary single for the newly popular HBO series, calling it the Blood Swamp version. McMann puts the soul of Louisiana into the remake and there is even a video release by HBO on Youtube (read on to hear the song and see the video).

However, I am not impressed with the remake. McMann still has the voice after 20 years but the lyrics just don’t mix well with the bayou blues. What do you think? Does it work well with the series?
