There has been a lot of casting news for Mother’s Day the last few days, but today the most important role was filled; Rebecca De Mornay joins Darren Lynn Bousman’s remake as “The Mother.” The batshit insane mother who — in the remake — returns to her old house to torture the new owners and their guests.

Jaime King plays a mother who recently lost her child and has isolated herself in her home, and Shawn Ashmore and Briana Evigan play the unlucky house guests. Matt O’Leary plays one of the demented sons, and Lyriq Bent and Lisa Marcos round-out the rest of the cast.

No word on if “Queenie” is in the remake, or if so, who will be playing her.
