The 3D trend continues with the Underworld franchise. STYD drop reported a few days ago that Sony’s Screen Gems was so happy with Underworld: Rise of the Lycans’ box office performance, that they green-lit a fourth film and plan to film it in 3D.

Underworld 4 is aiming for a January 21, 2011 release. We will keep you updated.
