Machete is not really a horror film, so I’m not sure on how much coverage we will be giving it on Horror Yearbook (We don’t want to take away from our Twilight news.), however, the new star studded cast is just too great to ignore. Variety learned that Steven Seagal, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Don Johnson, Cheech Marin and Robert Dinero will be joining the already announced Lindsay Lohan as the cast of Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis’ new film.

Machete is slated to start production this week and we can expect it in theaters sometime in 2010.

The film follows a blade wielding ex-Federal agent who is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator. Check out the original Grindhouse trailer below.
