Slime City Massacre: Actor House

One of the more interesting aspects of filming Slime City Massacre was “actor house.” Instead of spending a lot of money for the movie’s out-of-town actors to stay in expensive hotel rooms, director Greg Lamberson, rented a run down, four bedroom house for them to stay in. The “actor house” provided shelter for: Debbie Rochon, Lee Perkins, Kealan Patrick Burke, Lloyd Kaufman, Roy Frumkes and even Horror Yearbook’s own Andrew Walsh and myself.

In the age where reality TV is king, we all know that forcing four strangers to live with one another could be a recipe for disaster, but for the most part the “actor house” experiment was a positive one, allowing the cast to get to know each other and develop a bond that showed in their work on the film. For an example of this bonding experience and to see Debbie Rochon hunting rats check out the video titled, Nightmare on Heath Street below.
