Max Brooks’ zombie novel World War Z has the potential to be one of the best zombie movies in horror history, but it seems like an almost impossible task to adapt the book into a film. Now word comes from Bloody-Disgusting that the attached director, Mark Forster, has left the project due to unknown reasons, and it was already announced that Michael Carnahan was brought in to rewrite J. Michael Straczynski’s original script.
You may also remember in January that the movie was put on hold because the “script needed a lot of work.” These are all bad signs for any film, especially a horror film of such a large scale. So it may be a while until we see a World War Z film… If we ever see one at all!
I wonder if Bradd Pitt is now wishing that Leonardo Di Caprio had won their bidding war over the film rights, and if his production company will ever get this project off the ground!

Awesome book, maybe it should not be filmed if they can’t do it right.
The zombies get their nobs out and chase each other round for a rotten bumming session.
