Today director Greg Lamberson announced plans to cover the production of Slime City Massacre by posting behind-the-scenes webisodes (Slime City Survivor) online, and below you can check out the first two episodes focusing on the special make-up effects for the film. Horror Yearbook will be hosting all the videos during the 2 1/2 week filming schedule, or you can also subscribe to the official YouTube channel to keep updated.
In other SCM news, Lamberson also announced a new surprise cameo:
“This is a celebration of 1980s horror flicks, so I couldn’t leave Troma out of the mix, Lamberson explains. “I was literally debating how to reference Toxic Avenger when Debbie Rochon told me Lloyd Kaufman might be willing to do a cameo. What better reference is there than that? So I created a bit for him that his fans should find spectacular. We’re really pleased that he decided to give us some of his time.”
Slime City Massacre starts filming July 9th and stars Debbie Rochon, Lee Perkins, Kealan Patrick Burke, Jennifer Bihl, Robert Sabin Brooke Lewis and Roy Frumkes. It is the sequel to the 1988 film Slime City also directed by Lamberson.
