My life is almost complete! I had the honor of watching Oversexed Rugsuckers From Mars, on a big screen with one of my favorite directors, Michael Paul Girard, I have had sex with a female, and a sequel to Slime City is finally being made. All I have left to do is get rich, and blow all my money on reviving The Apple on Broadway… and then I can die a happy man.!

Anyway… Today director Greg Lamberson sent us a few pictures of SFX make-up tests with Jennifer Bihl, and a really great picture of Slime City aka midtown Manhattan after a dirty bomb has wiped it out.

Slime City Massacre follows Alexa (Bihl) and Cory (Kealan Patrick Burke), two fugitives from a totalitarian government who hide out in “Slime City.” They team up with the survivors, Alice (Debbie Rochon) and Mason (Lee Perkins), who discover the Himalayan yogurt and strange wine that brought the fuckery and madness in the original Slime City. Like any sequel SCM promises to deliver more gore and four times the slime!

“This film takes the drug addiction metaphor of the original and goes much farther with it,” Lamberson explains. “We’ve multiplied the sex, violence and action of Slime City tenfold. We have radioactive skies, camps of homeless people, mercenaries, and a society of cannibals. Anytime I’ve been tempted to scale things back to make shooting easier I’ve gone in the opposite direction – ‘How can we make this even bigger?’ This film is both a period piece and a futuristic, post apocalyptic film, with four creature characters instead of one.”

Lamberson plans to complete the film this year and have it on the film festival circuit by 2010. HYB will also be hosting the Slime City video diaries from the shoot, so expect the website so be a slime zone in the next few weeks.
